Is there any rhyme or reason for placement INSIDE a group on the leaderboard or is it just random ? Let’s say there are 7 a people at -30. Random inside that group? Er no

Thanks for the question and the answer. I also wondered about that at times.

That works for the last round but does not carry over for the 3rd round. But you are correct. Works for the last round

I believe it then goes even further into the winner of the 18th hole, then the 17th, then the 16th, and so forth until a clear "leader" is determined.

Yep I believe this is how ties are done (as per the rules on the TGCT website):
Winners and Ties The player with the lowest total number of strokes after four rounds will be the tournament winner. In the event of tie at the top of the leaderboard, the lowest score on the 18th hole of the 4th round will be the winner. If still a tie, the previous holes be used until a winner is decided. If one scorecard does not show hole by hole data for the 4th round that person will lose the tiebreak If both scorecards are not available the lowest 4th round score (then 3rd, 2nd, 1st) will be used. Last tiebreaker will be best WGR.
