You are playing well ezzinomilonga , gonna miss your banter but trip-C's loss is the B-Boy's gain. Another bloke doing well is that ol' F-er @sirwade59 , good on ya Lad! Thanks Art! you are playing fantastic yourself. I really miss the days of the ole F-troop. Twas a lot of fun! I dropped back to Pro clubs to see how far I could climb in the CC ranks. I think I have leveled out in C. I have been struggling as of late. May switch back to Master clubs. Who knows what the new season may bring. Onward!

Round 1 started with back to back chip in birdies. Feeling a bit chesty, I decided to feather a driver on the short par 4 third. Feathered that sucker right over the green into the Horseshoe Bay. A couple of less than productive pitch shots later, VOILA!! a visit from Frosty.
Did rally to a -3 finish, but I will be WAAAAAY down the table. D'OH!!
Onward.

Is a marathon, not a 100 mt sprint. Forget that score (great score, by the way!) and show what you can do! Well round 1 in the books with a -12 so in the hunt at least. -8 at the turn though so slightly disappointing finish. The rollout on these pro club long irons is insane! Yeah..The real insanity is on flop shots. The lie matters zero and if the green is slightly downhill you could stay 20 minutes walking around the greens loving golf and gods. Almost always, in some par 5 too long to be reached in two with pro clubs, I prefer a second shot that leaves me a full wedge. Is better than a flop shot and, if the pin is too near the enter of the green, is better even than a pitch. Is one of the reasons why I changed my initial plans to play pro clubs on tour and master clubs in every other course for practice. The differences are so great and the nuances of every club so various that it would be impossible to master both clubs in the same time doing this. Especially about how obtain a slightly slow or fast backswing or downswing when is needed. But I still think that pro clubs are way easier than master clubs. Distance and roll are not enough to equalize these clubs. Simply, is not so automatic to score so much better with pro clubs than with master clubs. There is always something to learn and understand. Good luck for your two last rounds.

The lie does not matter on flop shots? WHAT? Maybe for pro clubs but I get a crap load of spin with master clubs on a uphill flip. Able to stop the ball on a downhill slope
pro clubs are baby clubs but you do score better so I understand people using them. I did form 30+ events. I made the switch to master because pro clubs are just so boring. I would rather be poor with masters then good with pro.
It’s just what you enjoy playing. That is always the bottom line

I think he just meant with pro clubs, a flop shot rolls out forever no matter the lie.

I think he just meant with pro clubs, a flop shot rolls out forever no matter the lie. Oh yea. Totally agree. Did not see what clubs were being talked about . That is an issue with pro clubs. Lack of spin.

Lack of spin. Yes yes, I was talking about pro clubs. Lie don't matters at all, in short game, but not only speaking about %, I mean also that if you use a wedge for a flop or a chip shot, even if your lie is way under/upon your feet, the ball start always more or less straight. Some time is almost hilarious to see. With pitch I'm still not sure sometime it seems to be totally random, I don't know. Is one of the reasons why I want the chance to switch to master clubs, when I'll be good enough to reach cc-a. Is there, the real challenge to embrace. It would be really sad, to be forced to renounce.

Just wanted to stop in and say thank you to the Challenge Circuit schedulers and players for their efforts in going around Horseshoe Bay! I spent a lot of time working on this course, and I am very proud that it ended up being chosen for this event. Please feel free to leave any feedback on either side of the fence. As a designer, I am always trying to improve and all feedback helps. Best of luck to all, and enjoy your rounds on Horseshoe Bay!

Well finished round 2 with a frustrating -6, now 10 shots off @jaemmer89 . But I too had a hole in one! Funny one too, two bounces in the rough! I’ve never uploaded a video but I’m going to try to figure it out for y’all.

Round 2 much better but doubt it's good enough. Bogey free -6, rinsed one on the last otherwise coulda been better.
-9 thru 36.
Onward!

Pfft. Demo mark coming my way. Master clubs were very angry with me for some reason. One extra slow and I was totally screwed. And then one more sigh.

Round 3 and I finally got the 3rd hole! Tap in iggle. Unfortunately, that was about it. -6 again.
-15 thru 54 holes.
Onward.
Round 4 saw another iggle (148 yard hole out on 5) but again not a good score. -5.
-20 for the event. Might get a demo with that kind of score.
One more event?
Onward.

Welp, all my momentum from Sunday did not carry over.
Approach shot tempo all over the place and my flops and short putting suspect.
-6 -7
-41 for the tourney. I'll take the promo mark and move on.
Need one more promo mark on the final week for promotion. Good luck to everyone the rest of the way!
