Through three rds, -9, -4, -4 and I have to say it gives me a greater impression of the course playing it on tour, of course it looks great but the playability is way up there too. Terry did a top job carrying Eric on this co-lab, kidding boys.... 5 star effort. No issue with the winds in rd 3, makes you think, concentrate and scramble just that bit harder.... really good but fair challenge. Bound to be those that disagree, which is cool, but I hope the majority really enjoyed CC-pro this week, well played Mr Scheduler. Good rounds Justin! I'm only 1 shot ahead of you at -18 through 3 rounds. This course is playing tough this week. I will probably lose a few shots to the field in R2 as I only put up a -5 but a -4 in R3 has me hoping for a comeback. I'll keep an eye out for you though in R4

Played all 4 rounds with Masters
rd 1 (-3) I limped through it battling VF and F downswings, feel the game punked me in this round..shoulda been in the -8 range easily
rd 2 (-6) tidy...nothing big..missed some shots and putts but overall OK
rd 3 (-7) very happy with this round in 23-25 mph winds, but I always play well in high winds
rd 4 (-6) choked a bit but still a respectable score
finished -22...hope it removes my demotion mark

Through 3 rounds so far.
R1 - slogged my way to a 66. Only 4 pars, 9 birdies, 1 eagle (hole out from 150,) 3 bogeys, 1 double.
R2 - Locked in from the jump, another 150 yard hole out, sitting at 12 under after 15 holes, then got jobbed on a couple of chips to card a double at 16 and cost me my best ever round on tour. Finished with a 61.
R3 - WTF? 27 MPH winds? Put two balls in the drink, had 3 putts spin and lip out. Sitting at E after 17, pulled off an eagle on 18 sinking a 30 foot putt with about 15 feet of break to salvage a 70.
-19 after 3 rounds, R4 tomorrow. Good God, R3 was brutal.

Not looking forward to R3!
Only played R1 so far. Was playing par golf most of the way around apart from a little run of birdies on the front 9. Finished -4.
The one bogey came on a par five after being within pitching distance after 2. Of course, slow tempo on the pitch shot meant it missed the green completely, and followed that up with a poor chip.

-1 for round 3... brutal!!! Was +2 for the majority until I birdied 3 of the last 4 holes, including the (210 yards-ish?) par 3 16th into 25mph winds where I hit a 2-wood to 2 foot. Was tracking the whole way.
Shot -7 in the final round. Swing feels great at the moment. Lots of P-P swings with my Master clubs which makes a change.
In the clubhouse at -18 for the week. Won’t win any awards but hopefully enough to avoid the demotion marks.

So checked out the CC-A leaderboard and there is about 90-95% pro club usage on that...seems there are far more Masters clubs users on the CC-B tour. I've been using Masters and have been practicing some with Pro to see if that would be the easiest way to compete for promotion marks and move up. So far seems i am playing about the same to slightly better still with Masters. Does anyone else the same? Masters the same or better than Pro clubs? Barring any crazy course conditions (like this weeks round 3) i am usually in the -6 to -10 range per round with the vary rare -12 or -13. But mostly i can't seem to compete for a victory on this tour and it is a struggle to get promotion marks. With practice should i be shooting lower rounds with Pros?

I don’t think I’m consistent enough with master clubs to gain any promotion marks but I just like playing with them. I didn’t realise they had removed the top twenty master club users getting promotion marks no matter where they finished or was that just for CC-A I might as well drop down to Pro Clubs while I’m in the CC tours.

To me it boils down to one thing and that is what is your intent with your TGCT rounds and career. If your entire goal is to promote all the way up the ladder then use the easiest club set you can use, in this case pro clubs, to get up to CC-A and get your promotion to the Pro Tours where you will have to switch over to Master Clubs. If however you are like me and your goal is to just enjoy your rounds and career wherever you land then play the club set you enjoy the most and let the cards fall as they may. I personally like the challenge of the Master Clubs and the fact that they are a little inconsistent to me mimics real golf and the difficulty of putting a good swing on the ball every time. I know I am not a PGA caliber player and you know what, I'm ok with that lol. I will play my rounds and if I am playing well enough to promote then that's awesome but if I end up somewhere in mid to lower CC level then that's cool too. I like CC-B and the people here on this flight so I'm ok with not promoting for awhile. I've got some rivals here I have picked out that I watch for on the leader board and try to beat them each week purely for my own competitive nature. cephyn illinoisgator ABU_Bear lessangsterYou guys didn't even know you were my rivals lol

Look for my mate from Norther Ireland his name is David Herron Xbox GT Portred he’s on B, the way the game plays for me on Xbox it will be a good while if ever I get to CC-B

I haven’t even bothered with the other club sets. As said above, Master clubs mimic real golf a bit more. What’s the fun in constantly flushing the ball down the fairway? I’m guessing those guys were very high on Rory Mcilroy PGA... personally it’s a snooze fest to me. Real golf punishes you for one lapse of judgement. To me... only Master clubs truly give you this aspect to the game. Each to their own though. I don’t judge anyone either way because it’s about enjoyment and if the lesser club sets are what give you enjoyment then I say fair play

I look you guys up on the money list leaderboard every week, because thats the real measure of how we're all doing!

I definitely get more out of playing with Masters than Pro. My goal is to compete regardless of level but i did have a goal of reaching Web as i want to play in a masters only league and i don't think i am good enough for the other tour levels but when i play on the Web i usually shoot good enough to at least make the cut. I guess the bigger part of my original post was i was shocked that i actually play with Masters better than with Pro and was curious if anyone else was that way. For me tempo and swinging straight aren't really issues...i just suck at the math of trying to figure out wind, elevation, ground slope, etc. and while i hit my irons perfect/perfect almost all the time i can't seem to get consistent putting the ball near the hole for easier birdie/eagle putts.
