Oh man this game is absolutely frustrating sometimes! I needed a -10 on my final round this morning to get a promotion mark and knew it was attainable. Made quick work of the front 9 with a -7 and was feeling really good. Made par on the tough par 3 10th hole and an eagle on the 11th to get to -9 through 11 and feeling really good. The last seven holes of this round were maybe some of the most frustrating and aggravating holes ever played. I swear somebody flipped the tempo switch and I could not hit a single shot perfect. I only hit 2 GIR for the last 7 holes and had 2 putts from inside 6 feet that inexplicably didn’t break and grazed the lip. Being as angry as I can remember in a long time I nailed the fairway on my first shot on the par 5 18th hole but then snap hooked a very fast second shot into the water. Finished up with a bogey on the hole and wanted to kick a puppy and punch a wall! So frustrating! Whew!!! Ok got that out of my system! On to the promotion event and Week 15! Huzzzah! Oh jeez what a crushing way to stumble into the clubhouse - i sure do understand that feel. Week 15 is gonna be BIG. Let's go get 'em.

Got some travel coming up this week so my rounds are likely to be spread out and with the promotion event I’m planning on attacking this tournament with the Ryder cup first. Put all my extra practice time into the promotion and started round 1 on B without ever having played this course...first time I’ve played a tournament without practicing the course. Got my round in during kids nap time and -11 with 2 eagles so for team play I should be a solid contributor I hope. Approach shots were a little off but my putter was pretty hot...except for a lipped out 5 foot birdie on #10...but I made a 54 footer for eagle so it worked out

Went through all four rounds yesterday and had some heavy ignition issues during the first two rounds. Drives and approaches were ok, but I couldn't sink a putt, even from very close range (I guess these would be the equivalent of unforced errors in tennis).
Halfway through, I had two rounds of -4 and hence stood at -8, which put me at risk for losing my promotion mark from last week.
Fortunately, I regained momentum during the last two rounds. Moreover, I found out that it helps sometimes to adjust the aiming direction off the tee, as there is one par 4 (can't remember which hole) where you land right behind some trees if you simply pull the trigger without having a look at the map. Anyway(s), I somehow got -11 and -12 in the remaining two rounds.
This leaves me at -31, which I'm pretty happy with after such a slow start.

Since we've moved the CC-Pro Ryder Cup competition forward to Week 15, it means Week 16 is freed up. As all flights will be playing the same course and tees I thought it would be good to seize the opportunity to set something up.
If you are using Pro Clubs for the Promotion Event you'd automatically qualify as the highest you can reach is CC-A. Master Club users may join if they fail to reach PGA, Euro or Web tours. I don't know whether to do a straight forward tournament or a knockout where the highest scoring players in each round are knocked out.
We could have a sign up window open until Monday 18th say about 9pm GMT to give players a chance to find out what flight they're on. There would be no commitment to play all 4 rounds as it's an individual competition. I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to have a competition which covers all flights from CC-A to CC-Z.
Any thoughts?

It's going to be tough to do a sign up in the midst of a promo event I think since we won't know where people land.

I know it's right after the promo event but it'll be the only week until Week 25 where we are all playing the same course. I was thinking it could be a mad scramble but if there's interest we can see how it goes. I was thinking if some players are playing with Pro Clubs they'll know they'll still be in CC. So they'd be eligible to sign up straight away and have Master Club users join when they know where they are. It won't be anything big just taking notes of scores from the leaderboards and posting them up.

Bears Week 14 Final Standings! Sorry guys I didn't get to do a formal wrap up for last week! up mup kupen nup takes home his first rivalry win! Congrats to you Kevin and job well done! Kevin carded a final round 62 and managed only 1 bogey for the week to take home top honors and a promotion mark! illinoisgator fell just 1 shot short with a final round of 63 which was still and impressive week and also only 1 bogey in 72 holes! He also earned a promotion mark! We all know how @spartan4knight choked thanks to his tirade above (will somebody PM that guy and tell him to cool off!) Finished the week at -39 and just missed out on the promotion marks! ffrog and cephyn swapped places after their final round with Dave edging out Kevin for 3rd place honors! Dave shot a lights out 60 with 2 eagles in the final round including on 18 to get on the podium. statelyowl played consistent golf this week but just couldn't get enough birds on the card to really challenge but a strong finish with a 66 in round 4 and stays above the demotion marks! rhino4life also played well but just couldn't get enough putts to drop this week to make it into contention. Put up a final round 66 as well to avoid demotion marks! Congrats again to Kevin E. on his win and good luck this week as we play the promotion event and may find ourselves scattered to the wind depending on how we all do!

I think it's great to see the participation and interest!

Looks like another week of having to score really low to get that promo...CC players keep improving and it’s all Masters clubs! Good work there fellas - I'm not convinced that Pro clubs are the advantage that some people on the forums think they are. Really low scores, lots of pressure this week. Will have to keep my wits about me when I get to my rounds!

Was able to get my last 3 rounds in before i take off for a few days...after a nice -11 to open despite my struggles with approach shots i continued a very up and down tournament. Very fast tempo and snapped my first drive right in to the water to start round 2 with a bogey. I just couldn't really get anything going and struggled my way to a -7 with a nice finish on the back to make it at least respectable. I hit a shot on a par 3 that rolled dead center to the lip for what should have been a hole in 1 and then hit another approach to the same on a par 4 that could have very easily been another eagle. Other than those 2 and maybe 2-3 others that i stuck right by the hole i couldn't hit anything. I continued to really struggle hitting greens in rounds 3 and 4 but i continued my either hit it really close or off the green and somehow managed a -10 and -11 to close it out at -39. I don't think i've ever struggled so bad with my irons for a full 4 rounds.
Probably won't be able to get to the promo rounds until Thursday or Friday...will need to refocus and get these irons under control or i'll be in deep trouble.

I see you statelyowl at #1 on the CC-B leader board! Great round Justin! It's getting crowded up here! And now Justin has even been surpassed by our teammate Kevin D! Huge performance from us in the first round of this week's event. Apparently, I was one week too early to join the club. Keep it up, guys!

I’m doing my best to worsen the Bears average - currently bottom of the leaderboard, eek!
