I ended up at -33 for the week, which is going to be deeply mediocre. Played my first round with master clubs on accident, and it ended up being my best scoring round. I dunno what to make of that. My game is in a frustratingly plateaued place these days. I just can't seem to get better, particularly with the putting. CC-B for life. I feel you here man, putting and flop shots are an enigma to me most rounds. I've been tweaking different things each week trying something just a little different in hopes that I find something that sticks and works. I seem to have found something that works better on tempo and I've improved on FIR and GIR a little bit. I'm still playing with different putting techniques. I'm pretty solid on 160'ish greens but slower or faster is puzzling.

Almost forgot to say - Congrats Taylor on the huge Heaven&Hell response! You've developed a winning event! Thanks Kevin! I have to say I'm pleasantly shocked at the response this has gotten and I hope it continues. I only pictured this running for a season with maybe 10-12 people so to have 30 already signed up for Season 2 is absolutely amazing! I really appreciate all the support and participation from the community.

I felt that way for quite a while at the start of the season but in the last few weeks i think i'm getting closer and closer to breaking out a bit more but still can't seem to put it all together for 4 rounds. After reviewing the "thundercock" putting method i realized i was pretty much already using that method but depending on breaks i wasn't always as confident and wasn't using the same consistency on all of my putts. I'm still working through some of that but i think it's starting to come around. Also switching up my approach with wind which always gave me trouble and during practice rounds i've had some really good success playing in high winds now. I feel your pain on being plateaued but hopeful i can work through it some.

I've noticed they use a lot more loft on the flops and chips than i was...and i have it down some that i am consistently keeping it under 4 yards of rollout on the flops which has helped me improve in that area. One thing i still don't get in this game and it just happened to me but i was in a deep bunker 80-89% with the pin about 10 feet up and 20 yards away. I take my 24 yard flop and put the loft way up and hit it at like 95% and it still flew 20 yards in the air and rolled well past the hole. Even at 90% of 24 yards should be a max of 21 yards but with full loft and up hill it should never carry that far right?

I'm not even going to try and answer any questions about flops because I can't seem to begin to understand them.

-22 is the cut for promotion right now after 2 rounds so -45 looks like you have a solid shot at that...excellent play sir. I was thinking i needed to get to around that number and came up short at -42. Rounds 1 and 4 i went 64, 63 which just isn't good enough on this course...too many low scores This is just crazy! I haven't teed off yet but man these scores are daunting! Don't stress it...conditions are great for scoring this week. Reachable par 5's and sticky greens allow for going right at the pin.

95% backswings also register as Fast and give you a distance "boost".

Plus, it may be a silly question but I take it you're taking your foot lie in to account? If you are on a downslope in a bunker that ball is going to shoot out.

Round 3 is in Bears! I was off to a hot start with a -10, -14 in my first 2 rounds to get me to -24 and on track for a promo mark. I was only going to play 2 rounds last night but thought I would roll with the hot hand. Big mistake. I left 9, yes 9, eagle or birdie putts sitting right on the lip with less than 6" to the hole, nothing would drop in Round 3 for me. Struggled to a -7 to get to -31 for the tournament which could have been so much better! Anyways. up mup kupen nup and illinoisgator are tied for the top spot with a 2 shot lead over our rivalry and in position to earn a promo mark at the moment. Great play from both these guys as they've only managed 1 bogey apiece through 3 rounds! Good playing guys! cephyn who played his best round with Master clubs in Round 1 (which has him very confused), is flirting with a top 50 finish this week and looks to stay ahead of the mark with a solid finish in Round 4. ffrog is just a few shots out of the top 50 as well and with only 3 bogies on the week could see a good finish if he has a strong Round 4. statelyowl and rhino4life are battling to stay in the top 100 as they sit right on the line. Getting a few putts to drop would ensure a top 100 finish for them!

Oh man this game is absolutely frustrating sometimes!
I needed a -10 on my final round this morning to get a promotion mark and knew it was attainable. Made quick work of the front 9 with a -7 and was feeling really good. Made par on the tough par 3 10th hole and an eagle on the 11th to get to -9 through 11 and feeling really good.
The last seven holes of this round were maybe some of the most frustrating and aggravating holes ever played. I swear somebody flipped the tempo switch and I could not hit a single shot perfect. I only hit 2 GIR for the last 7 holes and had 2 putts from inside 6 feet that inexplicably didn’t break and grazed the lip.
Being as angry as I can remember in a long time I nailed the fairway on my first shot on the par 5 18th hole but then snap hooked a very fast second shot into the water. Finished up with a bogey on the hole and wanted to kick a puppy and punch a wall! So frustrating!
Whew!!! Ok got that out of my system! On to the promotion event and Week 15! Huzzzah!
