Steamshovell can lure you in with some nice birdie makeable holes if you can fire it in close to the pin but it can also bite if you stray too far from the fairways and if you do there is a lot of heavy rough which requires some clubbing up calculations to be made, also some of the pin positions on certain greens can be a tad awkward especially when they are fast but with that said there should still be a lot of low scoring.

Well -6 after two, in the real world not bad, in TGC not good. Average 1st putt on back 9 R2 20' that included an eagle on 10 and a missed 5' putt on 18. R3 tomorrow.

-10 round three has me feeling optimistic at -28 thru 54 holes of golf. Not necessarily feeling like I'll be in the performance mark territory unless I pull off a -12 or higher in the final round, but felt good. Putter is starting to come around.

-6 and -7 in the first two rounds then lost everything in the last two. -2 and +2 R3 and R4. Anyone else feel like the R4 pin placement was an ass kicker??

-5 -8 -9 and -4 = 26 under, hopefully enough to avoid a demotion mark, I agree Justin some of the pins on R4 where a pain in the butt As for the announcement on clubs I think it's a good decision.

Said it before and I'll say it again, just another mediocre round in a mediocre career R3 (70) -7 after 3. R4 tomorrow.

Removing Beginner clubs is for the best. Eventually I will have to tackle Masters clubs on Xbox/PC, but for now Pro is keeping me in the conversation.

So, I've been practicing on the range with Master clubs. Started this week's tourney and uhh, yeah, had forgotten to change them back. However, I've gone 66-68-67 in my first 3. I've started laying back from holes where I'm going to be left with a pitch. Much easier to get one tight with a flop, chip, or full iron. Pitching in TGC1 and 2 was like throwing darts. That's been nerfed a bit here. Even P/P pitches will go offline.

Well, I'll certainly be troubling the demotion marks again, primarily down to a terrible first round. By most people on here's scores though it was abysmal.
Do non-starters get demotion marks? It is clear that dq/dnf do, but I couldn't see anything about not starting. I can't say I'm looking forward to next week, played a practice round and found the course not to my liking (aesthetically), and the only reason I'd play it again is if I had too.

As far as I know, no but WGR is likely to drop.

Zilker is kinda lame. All open. A few sand hazards here and there. I get that the cc-am courses are supposed to be easy but this one takes that to another level.

At least the FIR stats will go up for everyone, that plays it. Although I did find the water with an errant (sneeze affected) shot.

I've only been here for 5 minutes, joined in September and I am loathe to start criticizing anything at this wonderful place but I have to agree, I thought the opening course of the CCAM tour was very good, there were some good risk and reward holes and it was a nice looking course, Steamshovell was a different challenge a little bland in places but Zilker does indeed take blandness to another level, also Zilker and Steamshovell have no stroke index, is this because not many people have played them ?
