Seeing the data all together like that, it's interesting how in almost every category there are subtle differences in platforms - in some cases better, in other cases worse, but overall no big deal, they more or less balance each other out over the long run. Then you see master club tempo for XB1 users which is so crazy low compared to the others that it destroys any hope of balance. As I said before, I'm really surprised XB1 users are only 1.5 strokes behind being handicapped like that.

On behalf of all the pro and beginner club users on Steam - I'd like to complain that it is far harder for them to get P/P than their compatriots on both PS4 and XB1. PC players need extra shots in CC!!! Console players need to check their beginner club privilege.

Looking at that latest data, it's crazy how big of a dropoff there is on XB1 for average perfect downswings between Pro and Masters club users. If it's a platform-specific issue, either it only affects Masters clubs, or there are some really great players sticking with Beginner and Pro club sets due to the difficulty the Masters set is providing. The XB1 Beginner and Pro Average Perfect downswing out-performs Steam users and then the Masters just drops off a cliff.
The Steam data for Beginner and Pro may be skewed by mouse users (I've heard tempo is pretty difficult with a mouse). My suspicion would be that the majority of people using a mouse to swing are using Beginner and Pro club difficulty levels. I think it was mentioned before that the controller type isn't included in the data.

Well at least for me, my "good" swings that register just barely fast really doesn't hurt your drive at all. Then because it happens so often i just kind of adjust for it on my approach. Sucks when you actually get a p/p but i just figure out where the better place to miss would be.

maybe tempo difficulty should be the same for all club sets. there already is the increased swing-line difficulty anyway

Have they made beginner clubs longer in TGC2019? I thought that they were uncompetitive in TGC2 because of the shorter distance, not that I'd ever played with them.

Never understand the logic of the different clubsets. Pro and Masters are not balanced at all imo, two different difficulty levels and a few yards penalty for Pro to compensate, how many hours of play testing for balancing really went into it(I'm guessing zero). The whole thing fragments the competitive aspect on certain tours here. And it sounds like beginner clubs are like playing with those metal barriers they put up for kids in my local bowling alley.

PS players should have a 6 drink minimum before they play!
As I said I'm glad the Xbox is harder . With the way I play and using a harder controller the driver is still mindless most of the time.
Where I have fun is approach shots and around the greens.

I don't know if the ps4 is easier, but I do know I find it a lot easier to hit Master clubs in 2019 than Tour clubs in 2. I dont hit 'em straight, and my line sometimes looks like Zorro is playing. And I get my share of slow and fast downswings (usually chipping/flopping). But it's no where near as difficult tee to green compared to the last version.

Where I have fun is approach shots and around the greens. It's not harder, it's straight up broken. 46% to 77%. That's a staggering stat. I shouldn't have to adjust to a fast downswing and just deal with it. I should be playing the same game as the ps4, not praying for a P/P on literally every swing. Between that and the 1 or 2 random "very fasts" per round, the game is borderline unplayable for people wanting to actually compete.

I've switched down to Pro Clubs for TGCTours events moving forward. It's unfortunate because I love the challenge of Master Clubs, but I hate the idea of playing against others that have an inherent advantage. The funny thing is that I actually enjoy the frustration of Master clubs offline, but not when it's a head-to-head competition.
Honestly, there's nothing this community can do about it (outside of dismantling cross-platform tours) - but I've just had to do that to make my peace with the current situation.

This only goes to confirm my suspicions. I’ve played TGC on Xbox since the beginning and got to top 70 WGR at one point. If I play well I’m usually in the mix. Now if I play well I’m 30 shots back after two weeks in Q school. I left about 10-15 shots out there but played well for the most part.
On St. Bedes I would have to play out of my mind to shoot -8. I played a lot of practice rounds and that was the number I could get to if everything went perfect. If I had 4 rounds of that I would’ve still been 9 shots back. It wasn’t making any sense to me how -41 was even possible.
I have a guy on my friends list who got to top 20 WGR last year (I won’t mention his name) that has quit the game because tempo got too frustrating, I’m still hanging on by a thread.
In my opinion cross platform is just not viable anymore with these tempo changes. It’s never going to be an even playing field. I don’t care how I compare to someone on a different platform with a different controller, there are too many variables. I would much rather have the tours separated now.
