Sitting at -15 for the cut. Hopefully I can make it considering I hit what may be my last hole in one on tgc2 on the back nine R2. Gave me a huge boost going into the last two rounds. Finished at -33 for the week. Great course. Really enjoyed the greens this week. There were some pins you couldn't touch and others I knew I had to take advantage of.

Well last week i started well and missed the cut. This week another good first round and hopefully i can play a good 2nd round now and at least lose the strikes. Very enjoyable course. Rewards uou when playing well. Punishes on a mishit. Good luck all!

Playing up on exemption this week. Hoping to play well and make it stick! Sonoma is a great course, btw!

Playing up on exemption this week. Hoping to play well and make it stick! Sonoma is a great course, btw! Good Luck! This is my 3rd shot at the Euro Exemption in the past month... missed it by 1 shot last time. I'm really hoping to get it to stick before TGC 2019. I tend to do well on Reeb's courses, so I'm optimistic.

Rewards uou when playing well. Punishes on a mishit. Good luck all! Glad to know it's working as intended! That was the idea on this one. You'll score crazy good when you execute...but if you're off trying a hero shot? Well...

I'm glad to see you got the exemption, too. I knew we were neck and neck for a good portion of that tourney.

You'll score crazy good when you execute...but if you're off trying a hero shot? Well... Hole 5 is maybe the best example. Hit a straight tee shot and you'll have an easy pitch. Hit a bad tee shot and you'll be in the bushes and fighting for par (like me)

Fun course to play, really enjoyed the tournament, but my scores kept getting worse as I went, so another mid-pack finish will be the result. 62-63-64-68 for a -27 total.

Sitting at -3 after nine holes on my first round. Missing too many putts which will be my undoing. I'm normally a pretty good putter. Time to ramp it up a bit!

Now if you want to have a laugh please watch the video i made of round 2.
I don't think i ever missed so many putts in one round. Even if half of these went in it would have been a good round. I guess i kind of reduced the damage with a 67 and hopefully i'll still make the cut with -14 but it's frustrating anyway.

Really like this course! Despite more than normal amount of "suspect" bad luck,(bouncing against slopes mainly) that said still had fun and a few unlucky bounces didn't effect the result nearly as much as way many more bad shots did. Tend to hate courses when i play this badly but just cant dislike Sonoma.
Good luck all that will play the weekend, ill watch from the bar this week.

My 1st round is testament to that statement, hero shooting attempted...-4. 2nd round I executed properly -9 I hope -13 makes the cut, it'll be close either way

Makes me feel a little better about missing a few short ones myself. Although, I did manage to hit a 18 footer 40 feet passed the hole and off the green. That bogey was hard to swallow.

Ok, so this was the first time I questioned myself whether I'm (still) good enough for the Euro tour. I found this course appealing but way too difficult for my level. At least, I can confirm that it is a very tricky course when you've got trouble hitting the cone.
In both rounds (-3 and -1 for a mere -4 at the turn), I had far too many horrible tee shots or bad approaches to achieve a decent score. Despite some good moments (7 birdies in round 1), with inconsistencies such as a one-putt bogey or a 3-putt double bogey, you can not expect to make it to the weekend.
It was only in round 3 (-6) that I started to get a feeling for the course and avoid some bogeys, but that is too late.
On a side note, since I already missed the cut last week, my streak of making the cut every other week will not persist.
Good luck all!

Maybe i've had all my bad luck for this tournament now and everything will drop in the next 2. 2 low 60's can still get me to a good finish. Providing i make the cut of course.
