If this could be the last month of TGC2 then we better make this thread a good one!
Anyone up for a Forum Profile Picture battle?
How it works: I go head to head with a volunteer and we use our tour scores for the week. If my opponent scores better than me then they will get to choose an image that will be my forum avatar for 1 week! If I win... I choose yours (also 1 week duration).
Anyone have the guts to accept? It can be someone from any flight of CC-Pro.

Real quiet...both this forum and my 1st round. Fugly -1 thanks to a pair of doubles. And no CiB0RG, no challenge from me. I have no chance.

Well I kind of wished I had of skipped the PGA to play my exemption in CC-C instead.
I shot -1 total for the 1st 2 rounds, about 40% F.I.R and over 60 putts! Found out a bit later that I was playing with a broken controller.... oh well.
If I had of played in CC-C I shot -28. R1: 69 (1st 11 holes with the broken controller @ +2) R2: 65 R3: 62 R4: 64
Pretty sure I would of secured my spot in CC-Pro. Maybe next time...

Decided to go back down to Player clubs due to inconsistent swing issues with Tour clubs and now it's as if I've never played the game before. Having a hard time getting anything close, and when I do, I can't make a putt. I think this game has just about run it's course with me. The fun factor is pretty low. Seems every week is a wash/rinse/repeat of the previous when it comes to conditions, rolly-polly greens, and every pin on a slope. I'm done for this week.

Decided to play 9 practice holes ahead of my first round to dust off the cobwebs. I was -6 through nine and set for action.
An absolute disaster of around ended up on +4. I hit the water in the first and the nearest point of relief was 200 yards back. I took treble bogey after lipping out a 4ft db putt. The rest of the round was a struggle and I didn't make a single putt. If half of them had gone in I could have been under par. Anyway not to worry.
I got things back on track with a -5 in my second round to leave me -1 at the half way point. Had my strikes cleared last week so a poor week won't be the end of me here.
Good luck to all out there, a tough but fair course imo.

To warm up I play 3 or 4 holes of these “I don’t care rounds”

Hi. Quick question. How do you get promoted to the next CC? The only info I could find on the site was to win an event. Is that the only way? I am absolutely hooked on TGC2 because of TGCTOURS, and want to understand exactly what I'm chasing to get up to the next circuit. Thanks in advance.
This current event is a little beast. The first 2 pinsets had some royally frustrating hole locations. Great course though. I'm +2 through 2, but my practice rounds through the 3rd have been promising.

I need a couple of holes to warm up before I'm comfortable with recording a score for an event. If I'm tired, I tend to slice a lot. The driving range is nice too.

You can get an exemption to the next flight up if you finish in the top 10% of the leaderboard. But whilst on the exemption in the higher flight you need to finish in the top half of the leaderboard to get a tour card for that flight. A tournament win will move you up and get a tour card and you can proceed as normal.

Always cool seeing new names on the forums, first off... Welcome! Yes if you win an event you automatically earn your Tour Card on the next flight up. The other way to get a tour promotion is to first earn a Sponsor's Exemption which allows you to play the following week on the flight above your current tour. You earn a Sponsor's Exemption by finishing above (better than) the 'Exemption Line' (see image below) on the leaderboard. Everyone above that line earns a Sponsor's Exempion for the following week and will receive an email from TGCTours confirming it. When competing with a Sponsor's Exemption you will play the event on the next tour up the list and your name will appear on the leaderboard with an (S) next to it. This shows which players are there on exemption status. If you finish above the 'Clear Strikes' line on the leaderboard while on your exemption then you will earn your Tour Card for that tour and receive an email from TGCTours granting you your promotion. Your tour card will be automatically updated on the site as you move through the ranks. Hopefully this all makes sense! Good luck on the tours!
