Many of the holes on this course are based on the "template" holes of C.B. MacDonald and Seth Raynor, two of the most revered course designers in all of golf. That includes, not only the playing concepts such as "biarritz" and "redan", but also the heavy use of geometric shapes. I know of a revered painter by the name of Jackson Pollock (lookem up kids), but that doesn't mean all his paintings actually look like paintings, or any of them for that matter..

Man my game is in an everlovin' funk. Raynal is ripe for the pickin' but I just can't muster much. -9 thru 36. Feel like that score doubled won't clear my strikes. Onward! Bleh. Finished -14, might be two more strikes. Whatevs.

Almost WD from this one after rage quitting after a poor start in R2. Came back tonight and scratched out a 70 for R2. Then I started to pull it together, with a good R3 and a lights out R4. Judging by the scores for R4 (PC), it looks like I'm going to gain a bunch of strokes back against the field after firing a 58... parred the last 3 holes too, jeesh.
I've been biting my lip and trying not to moan in the forums, but fast downswings out of nowhere was my downfall this week... so I can empathize with some of the others that have had some weird sh%$ happening.
Till next week...

After a brief taste in Web on exemption, I’ll be coming back to Fonzie since I missed the cut by a couple of strokes. It’s a different kind of pressure having to put all the eggs into the first two rounds. I’ll be back in Spidey soon enough.
See you jokers next week! 🍻

FFS that’s the sixth promotion attempt I’ve wasted.

Final round of E has left me at -18 in CC-C. Probably could've been going for an exemption as I was above the line at the end of round 3. To be honest I wasn't too fussed because my PR for next week's tournament was E as well so I don't think I'd take advantage of the exemption. I think I'd rather earn it when I've got a chance of staying up.

Rolling Oaks SomethingI really need to quit destroying my chances on the 1'st round. Can't seem to get things going until round 2. -4 for round 1 -9 round 2 total mess of rounds 3 and 4. The wooden puppet kept hitting my arm mid swing. Double strike coming up. -15 total Note to those who have yet to play. Be careful of the 4'th hole par 5. Round 3 Actually feel free to do the same as I did below I need all the help I can get on the leader boards lolAnd a video of how not play 12'th hole par 4 also known as "The Joys of Slow/Fast" Sometimes a par feels like a birdie

Yeah, the mysterious rough happened to me as well.. Somehow, I hit a 75 yard pitch shot about 30 yards into the drink... Not a fan of this weeks course..

I'm sure the rough on the fairway is a problem that occurs in the designer. Sometimes when you try and lay a bit of fairway with a brush it doesn't appear and designers will use a spline to lay it. There is a way to deal with it using the red brush but not all designers will know of it.
