Just had a slow fast 55 ya pitch. That’s evidence enough as I’ve never ever had that. It’s jist not possible to fk up a short pitch unless u are deliberately trying to fk it up
I’m about to @!$# a controller up

Sorry for the rant. But 14 drives in a row slow/fast is bullshit and ruins the week that I look forward too.

@roytgc I was plagued by slow & very slow downswings no matter how hard I pushed forward on the stick. Turned out my old controller was just trashed. So I bought a new one and it's worked a treat. Something to think of maybe?

Roy - you do know that the speed of your backswing (on the controller) is very little to do with the P/S/F etc that the game registers - the game registers effectively how long your backswing is - for it to be slow, that means you aren't starting the downswing early enough. So try and feel like you are starting the downswing earlier, and see if that helps 'speed up' your backswing.

One thing that helped me with the tempo issues (i use tour clubs) is to turn off the ambien sounds in the game settings. This way you can hear the “swoosh” of the backswing and it gives you a pretty good auditory clue on when to start your downswing. I still hit 95% of my shots slow/perfect but have learned how to adapt to that when aiming my shots. (Helps avoid a lot of the slow/fasts though. Unless the game or Steam updates want to screw me around.)I’ll give an extra one or two slicks to counter the fade I get from the slow backswing.
BTW can I have my two strikes now from my tournament rounds on Royal Blackheath? Brutal. Good 1’st two rounds...then my inner Phill took over on the greens for round 3 and 4
Edited as I see Roy posted as i was typing so a tip for anyone struggling with tempo issues.

I wouldn’t be so annoyed if this happened all the time. Then I’d know it’s me needed to do some of the suggested tips and tricks but i use player clubs and go PP the majority of the time. Up u til the last 2 weeks.
Anyway I’m going to stay off tgc for a while. No point playing cranky.

I MADE THE FONZIE TOUR!!!
And surprisingly was only 1 stroke away from earning an exemption to the Web. Not too disappointed about that though I'm just happy to move up a tour. Hopefully I can actually compete at this level.

Hopefully I can actually compete at this level. In the Fonzie on exemption this week - had a tour first for me TWICE firing an ace in both the first and fourth rounds. I’ve never had one on an official tour round. Sadly I was too excited to capture the vids, but it was pretty remarkable. Practice rounds were a struggle just to make par, so I started the event with resignation. To my surprise, everything fell into place, even after grossly misplaying the very first hole of the event for bogey. I’ll let the scoreboards do the talking for now, but my final tally was -27, which in the winds presented in the last three rounds, feels pretty solid, maybe enough to get a crack at Web. The dream lives on...

I'm just up on an exemption from CC-D (sooner than I thought I'd be) with not much hope of staying up. I had 2 birdies and 2 bogies on the front 9 then got a bogey on the 12th. I was looking at over par for the round before I went on a wee run of 4 birdies on the last 4 holes to finish -3.I set myself a target of -3 or less for this round going by the early leaderboard. So doing not bad just need to raise it a bit to save an anxious wait on Sunday.

Started out -3 on my CC-A exemption but to be honest, I need to spend way more time in B/C to get used to the distances and challenges and start lowering my average score, my goal is a 65 average. Side rant/wish list
I have been reading a bit about the PGA comming to TGC3, I think what would be even better than that, is to merge this board, and the database of competition and make TGCTours a standard part of the Carrier mode.
