Enjoyed my round at The Pyratone Club. Battled a balky swing the whole way and an otherwise indifferent round was propped up by an albatross on #11 (I think that might be the first one I've had on TGC2).

Good turnout so far this week, by this society's standards anyways, with 8 players on PC. Perhaps we are picking up a few players as other societies die off. Just trying to build that positive PR for TGC 2019.
I've put together a schedule that should/hopefully will get us through to 2019, culminating in major #2. If not, I have plenty of courses left in my queue.
July 29-30: New Jersey Invite; Pine Valley, New Jersey; 1 Round; Black Tees; Pin 4; normal purse
July 31-Aug 1: The Strantz Memorial; Tobacco Dunes 2017; 1 Round; Black Tees; Pin 4; normal purse
Aug 2-4: San Francisco Championship; Olympic Club (TGC1 version); 1 Round; Red Tees; Pin 1; normal purse
Aug 5-6: Battle of the Bridge; RTJ Golf Trail - Ross Bridge; 1 Round; Blue Tees; Pin 2; normal purse
Aug 7-11: The Sergio Shootout; Valle de los Reyes (Garcia) TST; 2 Rounds; Red Tees; Pins 1 & 4; normal purse
Aug 12-13: The Holland Public Links; Holland Park Municipal (CC); 1 Round; Blue Tees; Pin 3; normal purse
Aug 14-18: The Settlers Open; Settlers Run Country Club; 2 Rounds; Blue Tees; Pins 3 & 4; normal purse
Aug 19-25: Major #2; Royal Lytham & St. Annes 2017; 3 Rounds; Major Event; Blue Tees; Pins 1, 3 &4, $500 entry, $1000 bonus purse

PS4 has a small but faithful and mighty group as well. I have updated the season schedule accordingly. I will be posting results of the last few events so we can properly acknowledge our winners.

PS4 has a small but faithful and mighty group as well. New to the society, so not faithful yet. Neither am I mighty as I am bringing up the rear. To my private golfing friends on PS4, I am known as Mr. ThreePuttBogey. When you see my scores there won't be any doubt in your mind that I have earned that nickname. I really enjoyed Pyratone. It's a terrific course and I never would have found it without Craig choosing it. Must go check out Tobacco Dunes 2017 as it is also unknown to me. The rest of the season's courses are already on my "best of" list!

I for one just started playing this society about 3 weeks ago and am enjoying the courses being played. Thank you for inviting us that play on PS/4. One question I have is when playing and leader board appears, is it just the players playing on the same platform or is it all platforms;ie, PS/4, xbox, or PC? Also my score never shows up until I've played 5 or 6 holes and never updated. What's with that? It's not just here but on all my rounds I play.

Gmangi - only see score boards from the platform you play the game on. TGCT here mashes the scores together.
HB servers are not the most stable - sometimes my score doesn’t appear all round.

The rest of the season's courses are already on my "best of" list! Tobacco Dunes is a quasi-RCR of Tobacco Road in North Carolina, designed by the late Mike Strantz. I guess I should make a note on all three of this week's courses, all of which are RCR's, and all of which only received minor touchups, if any, from their original publish in TGC1. This is as far as I know, at least. Therefore, they may not be the sharpest designs in TGC2, but they are all top notch real courses and require at least one round of play, in my opinion.

The other note that I should add is that this now-locked post at the HB forums (which went way off topic and way off the rails), was created by the member of this society on PC who I was alerted to as having signs of being a straight shooter, and the one I mentioned in an earlier post. I have not received any feedback on my post from anyone other than the person who alerted me, so by default I have taken this as a sign that most of our regular players are either not concerned or completely indifferent. As I stated in the HB thread, I am mostly indifferent on this particular situation, and would always prefer to use a ban as a last resort, especially if the player seems to be making an effort to figure out how to correct the issue. I do want regular players to enjoy themselves, however, and not feel that they are getting the shaft by having to play with a potential straight shooter, so I am still open to feedback. Considering the small size (but growing) number of players each round, at this point I would say that 3-4 additional arguments in favor of banning this particular player would be enough to sway me. Otherwise I am unmoved at this point, and will not take any further action unless requested.

Good round this morning PithyDoctorG. I'd like to say I left a few out there, but I only scored as well as I did thanks to dunking a bunker shot for eagle on the second par 5 on the front, and hitting the flagstick and stopping dead on my approach on the number 1 handicap hole. I hadn't played a full round at Tobacco Dunes since TGC1, and definitely hoping it makes it to 2019. Such a fun round.

I had heard of this design kicking around and have read plenty about Tobacco Road, but somehow never got around to playing it. This course was amazing. I think Strantz's design philosophy translates well to TGC because it feels like everything is exaggerated and there are so many unique holes. Thanks for scheduling it.

Good morning. I've just joined your society on the PS4 and thought I had better introduce myself.
I have to say, it's refreshing not to be looking at a score of -19 to even get a sniff at being on the leaderboard. :+)
And I doubt a minus 5 will scare anybody butI enjoyed it.
Happy whacking

So I donated all of my coins last night to level the society up to Level 9. Then I completely forgot that I needed to save some coins to enter the tournament... is there a facepalm emoji?
Played some career rounds last night to gain some coins, though, so I'm back on track.

I thought for sure this would be a joke, but it's true! Thanks man! I've never had more than 20-30k at a time, so didn't think this many coins was possible. There are only so many ways I can spend this before 2019 drops... order #1 is to level up to 10.

One note on this week/end's course choice. As much as I like Scarpacci's courses, the Garcia course is very laggy on PS4 with tournament crowds. Both audio and video cut out and lagged in the same spots both rounds. It didn't really affect my scoring since it was my putting that did me in, but it did make several tee and approach shots harder than they had to be.
