I received news that my Brother and my best friend passed away today after a very brief battle with the flu virus. I have to take some leave and head back to Boston to be with my family at this time. My concern is I will not have a laptop to take with me to keep track of the Society. I normally set bonus and entry fees the evening prior to the event opening. I do this in order that I can play during the day and accumulate course challenges and the monies made on that are directly deposited into the Society Bank. I am asking for any of you who have and continue to play, help me through this brief issue and perhaps donate as much as you see fit so that I may set the amounts prior to my departure on Friday and my return end of Jan. Any help is gratefully appreciated but never expected, and I would never ask, yet I wish to keep us going strong.
Many thanks in advance for your continued patronage.
Sincerely Carolanne

I have finally returned from Boston. It was a very difficult time for me, laying my brother to rest. Then I got the flu, and my 87 yr old Mother whom I stayed with ended up in the hospital with pneumonia, and just as she recovered from that and was about to be sent home, she got the flu, and my brother´s daughter who was living with us after her Dad died contracted the flu as well. It was indeed trying times, and close call with my mothers health but glad to say she pulled through. The Day before leaving on my flight I ruptured my back and had to fly 13 hours when I could barely walk or stand. Needless to say this was the trip from hell and happy to finally be home. I want to personally thank each and every one of you that helped me through this very tough time. There are just so many wonderful people in this community and I am proud to be part of it. My husband Deathstar and my long time friends were relentless in making sure the society continued to run smoothly. Thank you all for the donations and support by playing in the tournaments. We could not have survived without your help. Once again from the bottom of my heart I am internally grateful and hope that I can return the favor to each and everyone of you.

Welcome back Carol - and hope the rest of 2018 goes rather better for you. In golf matters - what bloody idiot put those stupid rocks behind the 15th green in today's event costing me a triple? Shoot the designer I say

So apparently the rule if you hole out into the wrong cup on your second shot is that you hit your third shot from where you hit your second shot.
Fascinating.

That's a weird one - since I'm 99% sure when I did that while designing and playtesting, it simply put the ball on the green beside the hole that you had gone in! Another nice HB rules glitch! But what on earth is someone of your ability doing so far from the proper hole Chris?

Sometimes I think I'm lucky to be on the proper course to be honest, but actually it wasn't even that bad a shot into the tiny green with multiple pins, I just caught a ridge at an unlucky angle.

I was wondering what would happen if a balled dropped in on the wrong pin.. lol VERY interesting course. I enjoyed playing it even tho I did not score well. Will take me a few days to get back in the swing of things, and yes Rob I sure hope the rest of 2018 is better than what it has been so far.

Heeeeey, I thought I won the last event. Hey.. sorry about that, I posted the winner just prior to closing apparently you hadn't showed up at that point. Give credit where credit is due and in the message of day I have corrected the announcement of the winner to Belo Centrale. My apologies!

Tough course from mrooola to finish the season. ? What course was that? Hope it didn't ruin your experience Your par 3 course (Den Lilla Planeten) Lovely course 99% of it - one extremely dodgy pin front right of the uphill 150yd par 3 (4th?) - yellow all round it. If I could have kept it dry at the 1st occasionally it would have helped. And mostly 12-15mph winds didn't help the difficulty

Some real miserable putting out of me in the first round. Missed 4 short putts, including 3-putting the 9th, finished at -1. Not even hitting it that badly all things considered.
