Well, that was horribly frustrating. Over the first 4 holes I shot 9 birdies and 0 bogeys. Over the last 14 holes I shot 6 birdies and 5 bogeys. Even par 3rd round.

Some great scores from everyone this week on what was an incredibly tough course, not impossible but hitting mostly long irons into greens made it tough and also not being able to hit Par5's in 2. Great results and fantastic win for juicy.dangler 🎖

Had a bad front 9 in the first round and a bad front 9 in the fourth round, but everything else was pretty good. Nearly quit after bogeying 3 of the first 4 holes. Glad I didn't, ended up shooting 64/60/57/65 to take the lead on PC by 2.

Well done to Warhawk on his win this week on the PC version of the society with a 64-60-57-65 for -34 to win by 2 strokes. His score also puts him into T6 on the overall leaderboard this week.

Ok so had a little scheduling issue (my fault) setting up the Omega European Masters earlier in the schedule and didnt want to make ye all play it again so pulled another European Tour tournament to go its place this week. DUBAI DUTY FREE IRISH OPEN @ Old Course @ Ballybunion, IRL We have 3 events to go in the season, so will be emptying the bank balance out completely before I completely bring the PS4 & PC societies together. Really hope you all enjoy the course & tournament.

RCR World Tour Season 4 Update Just an update on whats happening going forward with the RCR World Tour and plans for the new season & new game later this year. Just want to be as transparent with the members as much as I can. Season Start Date - Thursday 22/03/2018 Season Length - 49 Tournaments (43 weeks) Tournament Length - 4 Rounds (7 Days)* FedEx Cup will be included as will a more real life Earnings list, using accurate prize funds from real life tournaments. There will also be a RCR World Golf Rankings list throughout the season (the list itself will be built and populated using the stats from this season) As I've spoken about it before, I just want to reconfirm that we will have a joint society with users playing on the PC & PS4 which will all be formulated into a Google Sheet folder each week while I work on trying to build a website for the society. This season is really going to be all about realism and trying to create that real life experience of the tours. So with that there will be qualifying criteria to be met to be able to play in Majors, WGC's, FedEx Cup Playoffs etc. To qualify to play in Majors you must be in the top 60 in the RCR WGR list before the final qualifying event. If you are not in the top 60, you can then enter the qualifying event and place in the Top 10 out of the players who have not qualified. Should you still fail to qualify, don't worry you will be entered into a "B-League" type major tournament where the prize fund and FedEx points available are halved. The setup will be similar for WGC's. Throughout the season we will have a mix of European Tour, PGA Tour and non Tour events meaning that not all tournaments will carry a prizefund (Masters Par 3) or FedEx Cup Points (European Tour Events) but you will be notified each week of the set up and whats up for grabs. There are quite a few substantial changes to come, and will essentially remove the whole coin aspect of the society. I am currently open to having a minimum entry fee & 100% payout option but it will not have any relevance to the new direction. Also with the upcoming release of TGC2019, its hard to know exactly what will be happening in terms of transfering data and content across to the new game etc so at the moment I'm looking at roughly 1 month of changeover where the society will be run on PC & PS4 across TGC2 & TGC2019, but wont know much about that for a few months. Here's a link to the new season schedule below along with the rest of the spreadsheets im working on, for any members old or new that would like to give some feedback on this, please feel free to comment below. Would love to see what ye all think. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Bxwudvfc67SZDPYg89LznJnsc0-OSukvY28Rw40e4w0/edit?usp=drivesdk

Ugh. First round was really good for most of the holes, put the majority of my approach shots to within 6 or 7 feet. BUT, I had a slow downswing on the first par 3 and 3-putted for bogey, I had a fast downswing on the second par 3 and 2-putted for par, I lipped out an 8-foot birdie on 15, and THEN I rolled back off the green on my approach on 16, hit a flop, hit the pin and had it bounce back to where I hit it. I actually hit the pin AGAIN on my next shot but this time it stayed up there and I had a bogey. Managed to birdie the other 14 holes, helped by chip-ins on 17 and 18, but should have shot better than 60.
EDIT: And now I'm stopping after the front 9 in round 2 after missing 6 birdie putts from 7, 9, 12, 12, 12, and 16 feet.
EDIT 2: Decided to start back up, missed an 11 foot birdie on 10, which actually means I missed 7 birdie putts inside 12 feet in 8 holes. Had a couple slow downswings but putted better the rest of the round. Third round, I missed an 11 foot birdie on 1 and a 7 foot par on 3, decided to stop again.

I’ve many beautiful approach shots foiled by the pin!

RCR World Tour Update Was having a chat with one of our members about the upcoming new season were talking about running a potential Q School idea and this is what we came up with. Also a quick heads up that the RCR World Golf Rankings are going live after the Omega European Masters. The top 40 will compete in a FedEx Cup Playoff event over 4 tournaments and will compete for the prize of being the Number 1 seed in the WGC Matchplay event and will also get to select the course from a list of selected venue's. Those who fall below the Top 40 at the end of the season will also compete for a guaranteed invitation to all 4 majors. 2nd - 5th place will also be awarded an invitation to 1 of the 4 majors. If at the time of a Major and the player has already qualified for the event through WGR or by winning an event in the season they will forfeit the invitation The first event will go live on the 22nd of March, more details to follow on this.
