Good lord, I managed to miss birdie putts from 6, 8, 10, 11, and 17 feet on the front 9 alone. Put my other 4 approaches within 5 feet so I made those, but man am I bad at putting.
EDIT: and then I missed an 8 foot birdie on 11.
EDIT: and an 11 foot birdie on 12.
EDIT: and a 13 foot birdie on 13.
EDIT: But I made a 27 footer on 14.
EDIT: Lipped out from 16 feet for eagle on 17.
Hit every fairway, missed one green in regulation (18, I came up a foot or two short of clearing the hill and then rolled all the way back off the front), put most of my approaches very close, and shot a 65. 29 putts. Awful.

Second round didn't start any better, missed a birdie chip by 7 inches on 3, then 3-putted for bogey from 10 feet on 5. Fast downswing on 10 that hit the retaining wall 3 or 4 times before going in the creek. But I did make a 23 footer with a double break and a 16 footer with a ridiculous amount of break. Aside from screwing up and parring 17, though, I did play a bit better down the stretch and shoot a 62. Still, sitting at 100% fairways and 34 of 36 GIR I should be better than -17 after 2 rounds.
EDIT: Third round started with 4 straight birdies, 2 of which were really tough breaking putts, and then I missed a 7 footer on 5. Did make a 22 foot eagle on 10 this time. Was -11 with 12 putts through 11 holes. Then I put a chip 24 feet long on 12 and bogeyed. Then I put a chip 18 feet long on 13 and bogeyed. Missed a 15 foot birdie by 3 inches on 16. Missed a 12 foot eagle on 17. Missed a 12 foot birdie on 18. Shot a 61, finished 2 shots back of the lead for the tournament. 2 shots back and I left like 15 shots on the course through mistakes on and around the green. I'm hitting the ball great but I really just can't get out of my own way.

Played my R1 last night and shouldve been at least -8 through the front 9 but just lipped out on so many putts and that first par 5 killed me. Bunker is very badly designed with the wooden panels in the face of it. Got stuck in the panels in 2, tried to play out and it just bounced further back into the bunker and barely scraped a par from what is normally a guarantee birdie - oh well

So in the space of 4 holes today I missed two putts inside 10 feet and made a 62 foot putt which I had to aim about 20 feet left to account for the monster break. Lately I feel like I've been more reliable from outside 20 feet than from 5-10 feet.

But can hole 40 foot eagle putts in my sleep 😂😂 how you playing so.far??

Aside from those two putts, wish I could get back a 10 footer I had for eagle on 13 where I saw the phantom break, but didn't quite account for it enough and ended up lipping out.

Ugh, started the second round with 4 straight birdies then missed a 7 foot par on 5.
Ended up with a 62. Should have been better, just was badly hooking every other shot.

Third round wasn't really any better, still battling a bad hook. Completely botched 15. Ended up with a 60 to finish 5 shots back of the lead.
What's really bizarre is that my natural hook always seems to be the worst on my drives on par 5s. I was in the bunker on 15 in both of the last 2 rounds (and both times hooked the bunker shot into the heavy rough too). I missed the fairway left on 4 in both of my last 2 rounds. IIRC I think I missed it on 13 in my second round. I missed it left on 8 in the final round too, although I holed out a pitch for an eagle anyway. And this is even when I'm hitting the fairway on almost all the par 4s. Oddly, this was even true before I got my current controller (which is the reason I now have a natural hook). Even with my previous controller, when I started to lose my swing, I ALWAYS started to lose it on the par 5s first.
