Was worse in round 3. Rage quit. Will be in E next week but won’t bother and just design. This game can’t end quick enough with TGC19 coming. So frustrating.

Watch round 2 tempo issues. Had -9 round 1 then went to sh%$ round 2. Interested to see if it was just me No it wasn't just you I shot a -13 under in round 1 best tour score ever, I was having visions of my first tour win as there were No tempo issues at all. then in round 2 bump. I was all over the place until the 14th were it suddenly went normal.a late burst saw me sneek to -6. Round 3 was great -11. Then in the last round I really struggled with my putting. It kept veering left.-3. No tempo issues tho. Just terrible putting.

Literally every other program I run is perfectly fine... it’s just this game. younwill be pleased to know that this week has crowds also Jacob. Yeah I’m not playing this week. This time I put it into my practice society in career mode and first two swings were perfect/perfect and slow/very fast.

You need to speak to Brighttail re those FPS issues jacobkessler - he might have a setting for you to adjust on your graphics card to stabilise it?

Ok time for my proposition should anyone choose to accept it.
I am looking for someone to do a little wager with just for friendly competition. No money or anything. The bet is... if you win you get to choose my forum picture and I have to keep it for the following week. If I win I get to choose a picture for your forum profile and you have to keep it for a week. It will be based on our final scores at the end of the tournament this week.
The images can't be anything offensive that will get us banned, but it can be as embarrassing as we choose!
Anyone have the guts to accept?
If more than one person wants in we can make this a team wager. Let me know ASAP! I will also mention it in the Six Pack this week!

Be scared if I win! although I probably won't, so...

Ok, next week it is! Upon the completion of that tournament the winner will pm the loser the image link. No peeking, no questions asked, the loser must drop the link in their profile and keep it there for 1 week. Should be interesting If anyone wants to do it this week also I suppose I could do this 2 weeks in a row. Could result in me having (who knows what) as a profile picture 2 straight weeks. Oh well, all in good fun. If I lose I'll be a good sport and post as I normally would to show it off!

Well I’m not finishing this week. The tempo is absolutely ridiculous. Same tempo every shot, but here are some swing results: perfect/perfect slow/fast perfect/very fast slow/very slow slow/very fast perfect/slow slow/very fast Honestly, I just don’t know what to do anymore. Hmm... Hate to bring up this topic but what controller you using? I have never had tempo problems near that bad with my set up. Sucks that it's ruining the fun of playing competitively for you man. Most of the time if I do screw up my tempo its not the speed of my motion on the stick at all... it's ususlly a mistimed transition between backswing an downswing that causes it. ^^^this is what does it for me too, along with my initial backswing being off center. First thing I do is watch how I pull back my controller (it's usually being pulled off center). Then I make sure I time my transition to my swing (if I go too soon before I've made my full backswing, I get a FAST backswing). Usually doesn't take more than few holes to find my groove again unless the day is really bad that I just take the rest of the day off.

Problem is that I can spend hours on the range and not get results. I do the same thing, I look at my two swinging fingers (I use my index finger and thumb). Every swing looks almost the same to be, with the occasion slip or tempo change. But my actual tempo is stupid. It’s always balancing between perfect and very fast downswings, with the occasional slow thrown in (typically on flops). It just doesn’t seem to be based on what I swing like- I can get on runs of perfect tempo shots, but the frame rate goes through a change and my shot feedback changes as well.

Huh, I actually was horribly inconsistent with swinging and tempo since this game came out but it has got a lot better in the last 2 months. My strategy was actually to stop looking down at my controller when I swing and make it more of a muscle-memory thing. Instead of looking down at my thumb I use visual cues on the screen tell me where I'm at in the tempo. Once I see the club head reach the top of the swing, I do a split second pause and then begin the downswing. If the game lags and the graphics get a bit behind then I just try to swing as if the graphics were up to speed and it doesn't hurt my tempo (most of the time.) I do get a fair amount of fast-downswings but I can usually chalk them up to the transition. If I pause for slightly too long at the top I usually end up getting a slow backswing or a fast downswing, sometimes both.

My tempo is usually totally random too. I made a habit of watching how i swing carefully and it didn't help one bit. I can swing in what seems like a straight line to my eye (multiple shots) and it gives me different results. .....and for some reason my shots go all over the place even if it seems like i swing in a straight line with the thumbstick. The tempo swing has completely ruined my love the TGC games. Shame. I hope you find something in the game Jacob.

You ever tried the course designer? As much as I hate the tempo problems, designing is why I still play and enjoy this game. Give it a try sometime, maybe you’ll like it.

I like the idea but you need patience for that which i don't have and i am a very competitive person so not being able to play to a high standard is killing me.

Really botched my 2nd round. Shot 60 (-12) in Rd 1.
Rd 2 at one point I was -6 (-18 for the tournament). A pair of double bogeys ended the momentum. Shot 70 (-2) in rd. 2. Ouch.

I'm back CC-D! Time to make some picks to win the EA Sports Pay to Win DLC Classic. We are playing this week at East Lake Golf Club created by Brandon Pugh. The Challenge Circuit scheduler decided to play an easy tee set this week so the holes play much shorter than we usually see. We will see easier tracks these few weeks leading up to Masters Qualifying. With that being said, most of the par 4's are simply a drive and a pitch. And the par 5's are easy Eagle opportunities for players using any club set. The greens are not particularly tough. We will see some low scoring out there. The biggest challenge will be the wind conditions and the water hazards.
Here is my Six Pack of players I have chosen to win the EA Sports Pay to Win DLC Classic:
1. Ste Owens (1245) - Not a stranger to the Six Pack. His consistently good play on this tour always makes him one of the favorites. Last week he finished T18 and fell one stroke under the exemption line. He started out this week shooting a Rd 1 score of 59 (-13). Might I add that the 59 score included a Double Bogey, a Bogey, and 3 Eagles. I expect to see him lurking towards a win this week.
2. Steve Wilhelmi (1097) - Back on the tour from an exemption to CC-C last week. He missed being promoted by only one stroke. This week he is currently in the T2 position after shooting a 58 (-14) in Round 1.
3. Kevin Ryan (1763) - Last week Kevin finished T32. He finds himself in the Six Pack this week after being an early first round leader. He carded a score of 57 (-15) to have the solo lead as of right now.
4. Mark Ross (1236) - Mark finished T18 last week also missing Exemption by one stroke. This week he began with a solid first round score of 60 (-12). All twelve strokes under par were results of twelve birdies. A nice clean and consistent scorecard. I expect to see this consistency continue.
5. Daniel Szpoper (1515) - Finished last week at T41. Daniel has caught my eye because he makes a lot of birdies. If he can keep the bogeys off the scorecard he will be in the hunt this week. His first round score was 59 (-13). He is currently T4.
6. Phillip Weis (972) - Phillip finished T18 last week along with Ste and Mark. He is frequently towards the top of the CC-D leaderboards. Phillip only carded 3 bogeys through all 4 rounds last week. He can play consistently and often does. He has not yet played his first round this week but I expect him to tear up this short course and maybe finish on top this week.
Thanks to those who take the time to give this a read! As usual please correct me if I get any information wrong.
Stay tuned next week as I take on jacobkessler for the rights to choose his profile picture on the forums for a week. Unfortunately if he wins he gets to choose mine. He has told me he already has something in mind. We will just have to see what happens!
