Well I’m not finishing this week. The tempo is absolutely ridiculous. Same tempo every shot, but here are some swing results: perfect/perfect slow/fast perfect/very fast slow/very slow slow/very fast perfect/slow slow/very fast Honestly, I just don’t know what to do anymore. Hmm... Hate to bring up this topic but what controller you using? I have never had tempo problems near that bad with my set up. Sucks that it's ruining the fun of playing competitively for you man. Most of the time if I do screw up my tempo its not the speed of my motion on the stick at all... it's ususlly a mistimed transition between backswing an downswing that causes it. Stock PS4 controller. Could go pro, but I know that it would be for nothing since it’s the in game frame rate that’s the true problem.

Finished anyway since I don’t like to give up in the middle of something, but I noticed some stuff while playing other rounds.
Heavily planted course No crowds Tempo fine most of the time
Lightly planted course Quite a few people stalking me Tempo all over the place
I just think it should be looked at more by schedulers and rangers... I’m not trying to attack anyone or be mad, I’m just sharing my thoughts on how inconsistent crowds can make courses play.
Btw, still getting worse, shot +3 in the final round for double strikes. Most likely done with tour rounds for a bit of time.

Kess, something is up with your rig, I think. You definitely experience more frame rate issues than average.
I have a crap PC with an integrated gpu, and the best I can get is like 18 FPS at 800x600, but the FPS is consistent and I don't struggle with tempo. (I've played at 240x320 resolution and the game runs as smooth as butter (not that I can actually see anything at that res).
Try turning some settings down or something.

Definitely going to play around with some stuff. My computer isn’t that bad, it’s just old. I typically get 45FPS out of it, with lag bringing it down to 30 at times. The problem isn’t the rate though- it’s how it’s constantly changing. If the tempo wasn’t tied to FPS, either, it wouldn’t be a big deal. Anyway, going to turn down the tree quality stuff and maybe that’ll help. EDIT: settings turned all the way down, yet still no difference between perfect and very fast.

If the tempo wasn’t tied to FPS... The way Unity 3D works is that the main subroutine of a game executes and then draws the result on the screen. The faster the hardware can draw the image on the screen, the more frames per second you get. There's a function in Unity 3D's library called Time.DeltaTime. Time.DeltaTime calculates the amount of time it takes between loops of program code. The result of this function is typically stored as a scalar value and is used as a factor in all of the game's calculations. Unfortunately, if there is some reason the game code takes longer for one loop, that can throw off some of the calculations. PCs are at higher risk of this than other platforms because of the number of background processes that are running at any given time. If you are pushing your hardware to its limits, loss of computing power, even momentarily, can have a huge effect.

Odd. Even if I lag so bad swinging my screen freezes up as long as I swing normal it has no effect on my tempo. I havent noticed a connection between frame rates and tempo. Are you sure there isn't something else going on, Kess? It could be an input issue rather than graphics.

Actually I can think of 1 time lag hurt my tempo. Caused me to have a "very slow" downswing and put an approach shot right into a creek 40 yards in front of me. Its possible I hesitsted when I saw the lag start, not really sure.

Looks like I'm coming back! Simply didn't putt well enough to hang up there. May be coming along. On the number now but a couple of blokes could pip my score and send a bunch of us below the strike line.

I might be salty if you beat me by 1 stroke and get promoted and I fail! Lol

After 2 rounds I thought I might have a chance of being above the exemption line with rounds of -7 and -10. Then on the 3rd round I shot -4 so I resigned myself to another week in CC-D,then shot -9 in the final round just to make it worse. 3rd round started not bad with -4 score on the front 9 then even on the back 9. Still my highest position on the leaderboard so I'm getting there hopefully.
