Can't you see what my point was?? It's blatantly obvious that a) gutting a fish when it's alive will make it no fresher than 2 mins later and b) fish can experience pain and have a discernable level of intelligence.

"According to Culum Brown from Macquarie University, "Fish are more intelligent than they appear. In many areas, such as memory, their cognitive powers match or exceed those of 'higher' vertebrates including non-human primates." ... Most vertebrate species have similar brain-to-body mass ratios." -Fish, like “higher vertebrates”, have neurotransmitters such as endorphins that relieve suffering – and the only reason for their nervous systems to produce these chemicals is to alleviate pain. -They communicate using a range of low-frequency sounds and show affection by rubbing against each other. -Researchers have found that fish respond with distress to damaging stimuli and harmful substances, showing reactions comparable to those seen in mammals. -Fish live in complex social communities in which they keep track of individuals and learn from one another. -Some species build nests for their eggs by moving stones, and others build intricate sandcastle “love nests” to attract a mate. -Contrary to what many people think, fish have excellent memories. They remember predators and threats such as fishing hooks – and actively avoid them. -Sensory receptors found in fish resemble those in amphibians, birds, and mammals, including humans. -Studies have shown that fish display signs of Machiavellian intelligence, such as cooperation and reconciliation. Don't know why I bother. Response- "I'm sick of listening to experts." "If" a fish ever had an original thought it happens once I have it in my hand. Read Spoonplugging by Elwood "Buck" Perry sometime if you want to truly understand fish behavior. I've caught the same exact fish 5 times in a row, throw it back and it bites my circle hook and worm over & over like a robot. I eventually slit the gills on annoying, bait stealing "baby" fish. I've caught fish a year later that have my exact hook (I use a very specialized hook tied with a unique knot I recognize in a split second) buried in their throats, one fish two hooks it's like winning the lottery lol. Animal cruelty hahahaha just when I've thought I've heard it all but you take the cake mate.

It's two fold mate, a) I'm teaching my kids how to handle and filet the freshest fish around (any moron can take a knife to a dead animal, it's all about how you handle it and how you value it's life), and b) yes it does taste best fresh....sometimes life is about experiences, try eating some sashimi when the head is still breathing
I bleed out many of the fish I catch &/or bash their heads against the side of my boat so I don't have to deal with sharp pike/muskie teeth

You can make highly intelligent animals repeat a behaviour, including humans! That proves nothing.
One guy has posted "haha" and another has posted that instinctual behaviour proves a lack of intelligence. That's the level I'm dealing with...
I've posted a load of scientifically backed facts.
I'm VERY content to leave it there, with each person's "points" on record, and maintain my (kind of!) Refusing to engage.

See, you guys already have Socialism. But it's Socialism for the rich/corporations.
This is exactly the economic point fiscal liberals have been making for 40 years: trickle-down does not work. Money in the hands of the producer does not drive economic growth. Employers do not hire people and increase wages simply because they have some excess capital. No, they increase production to meet increased demand. Money in the hands of consumers drives the economy. Consumers with more spending power tend to spend more. To meet the higher demand and to capitalize on the opportunity, producers hire more staff to increase production. That creates jobs. Missing out on making more money for the simple reason that the producer is over capacity is the incentive for business to increase capacity and hire people. Shhh!!! You aren't supposed to let that cat out of the bag!! Why, going by what you say, then making sure that people have more money to spend means they would go out and spend it and that would then pump up the economy, increasing demand, which would then increase production, which would then mean more jobs, meaning more people with more money to spend, etc, etc, etc. How are the right-wingers and the capitalists who feed us all of the BS about how making rich people richer and keeping wages low for the workers and getting rid of unions and more tax cuts for the rich going to buy their 6th home or that helicopter they've been wanting to put on the prow of their yacht?? Shame on you! Next you'll be giving the uppity lower classes ideas about maybe spending all those trillions of $$ on tax cuts and wage increases for THEM instead of the rich, as the $ would do more for stimulating the economy that way!

Poor people make the economy great!
You know who makes the economy great? People that @!$#ing work . Doesn't matter who is in office it's always the same. You can control your own destiny in America if you want to.
Maybe if I was born in libtard Europe I would agree with these clowns but I wasn't. I was born in NY and watched my family struggle and now aim to get Independence through money. OMG! Money! Capitalism is evil only if you are able but not willing to work. Sorry that is the truth.
I will never subscribe to being controlled. I choose my path. Even if it @!$#ing kills me. I don't answer to anyone. Hear that? No one tells me what to do.
Trump rally had people camping out. Hope you guys from Europe figure it out for the Democratic party soon. I mean things are great over there. GL!

And for fun.. Humans exist because of incentive or fear. Which drives Socialism? Empathy. Avarice and jealousy drive capitalism. Why are you afraid of some socialist policies? Don't you like the Police force and Fire Department? Do you not like the military? Why not public education? Why not public health? Why is it OK that corporations that made grave mistakes can receive billions of dollars from the government, but working Americans can't? You have this mental block in your head that equivocates hard work with financial success. What evidence do you have that supports the idea that there is some correlation when it comes to the poorest and richest Americans? Does Jeff Bezos work harder than you? 400,000 times harder? Jeff Bezos "earned" $40,000,000,000 in 2018.

You have a mental block that you are entitled to money you didn't earn.
Amazon is awesome. Just ordered some American themed Taylor Made golf shoes for my annual 4th of July tournament.
Innovation is well.. mind blowing
July 4th is coming soon. My favorite holiday. Love telling you Europeans to go @!$# themselves. 😁

You contradicted yourself in your first paragraph by assuming the poor people are not workers. Poor people are poor because they get paid peanut wages by greedy capitalists. It's false to assume that today, you can determine your own destiny... What year do you live in, 1950? Capitalism has changed for the worse, this happend in the 80's during the Regan/Thatcher era and poor people have paid the price ever since. I don't believe for a second that you have ever struggled in your adult life, financially. I think you were born with a silver spoon in your gob and that's why you're so ignorant towards the struggling working class and the shrinking middle class. To make people slave away in low paid work just to provide themselves with a low standard of living with almost zero opportunities of a better standard of living is not independence, it's controlled poverty.

Do you think he pays his employees minimum wage or do they all get the same salary as he does? As for his control issues...if there is any gov. then he is being controlled. Why is it the right thinks they are living outside of controlling gov.? To put it in a more simplistic way before the real troll jumps in here (not 1stD), one would ask how many speeding tickets does FirstD have to his credit? How much do you pay in taxes when you buy something nevermind your income. We are all controlled by gov. and YES, they tell us all what to do.
