The putting looked... weird?? Did it feel as weird as it looked?

Great stream, so thanks to Irving for that (and archiving it for us elsewhere in the world!). My impressions are that it feels even closer to real golf than before, especially the physics. Interesting to see Griffin pretty much never hitting it anything like as precisely as he would normally. Part of that will be playing on a PS4, but very interesting that he wasn't dialing it in by the end o the second 18. Just a shame I have to wait another 6 days! A side note - it seems utterly ridiculous that the NDA hasn't been lifted and we have to get our first "real" look at the game because someone's pre-order turned up a few days early! Looking forward to more unofficial streams over the coming days - anyone got an early Xbox preorder? He also wasn't able to play with the left stick as per normal, so that would have hindered him a fair deal, but yes game play much better and no longer when playing TGCTour events will we see our ball consistently along side three other ghost balls.

Yeah, every hole will play slightly differently for every player. That is sweet

I've skipped about the stream and watched about half an hour of it, very nice job you two. Particularly enjoyed seeing Irving smash his drive past Griff's despite (I think) you were both using the same clubs. Were they the medium clubs, I missed that bit?
Surely Irving isn't the only person in Merica who pre-ordered through Best Buy?

Thanks for the stream yesterday jason, also to the chat good to finally speak to yourself andre and griffin, cant wait for the game now some very exciting things i see yesterday the tour swing alot harder to dial shots in, no smashing chips in, no floping from 10-20 yards, 3 woods hitting greens and not flying thru greens, no max loft 3 irons, and alot more cant wait

Maybe I didn't read through all the posts, but hasn't anyone reflected on what a major duck up this is from hbs and maximum? How could they let this happen? Aw....love you too Mroooooooooooola! Haha. Well it was nothing against you at all, you know that. It's just odd that it could happen

It has nothing to do with HB or Maximum, Best Buy sent the game out early, and given that neither HB or Maximum could be considered AAA heavyweights of the gaming industry they have would have zero power to dictate to Best Buy what they do or don't do........... It has nothing to do with the publisher? Funny stuff.

It ruined TGC...in my opinion There will always be maths in it, unless you want it to just be a game of random chance which really would ruin the game. If you hit the perfect shot you're going to pretty much know how far the ball is going to travel. No different to real golf, those pros know exactly how far they hit the ball with each club, they use yardage books accurate to the foot and make adjustments for elevation and wind. The thing with TGC1 is it was very unlike real life in that it was relatively easy to hit the perfect shot. That's the big change here, by adding the tempo it's going to be a lot harder to that, but if you think people aren't going to be using charts or calculations I think you're going to be disappointed. And that shouldn't be taken out of the game because it reflects real golf. I think it looks brilliant, can't wait to get stuck in. From what I've seen the physics look vastly improved, the graphics much crisper, and love all those menus and options.

It ruined TGC...in my opinion Speaking from experience, you can still "dial-a-shot"...just probably not after the first 2 rounds you play of the game and not in the exact same way it was done in TGC1.

I guess the point I'm driving at is the margin for error is greater therefore the ability to just pick a club..do a calculation and hit your shot and have it wind up perfect every time is greatly diminished.
