Yeah that does look like fun, except controlling the steering and speed with a phone. Yuck. Showing my age a bit, but I had a setup not quite this elaborate back in the mid 70's. Of course then it had slots and the cars were controlled by a wired joystick of sorts where you only controlled speed. It had a lap counter built in that you could do anything up to 100. I had a lot of track so had the course going all over my room and above and under itself.
Used to play that with my best friend, and he was two years older than me and used to beat me at EVERYTHING we competed in. Probably what I am uber competitive at sports and most other things to this day But on this slot track he could not beat me. One of the highlights from my childhood.
This think looks like it pretty much drives itself??

(I assumee that's what you were talking about) When we were kids a mate of mine had a massive attic at his parent's house that was all done up as a "play room". About 10 of us put all our Scalextric sets together to make one huge uber track that was set up in there permanently.
