What say you?
I go back all the way to where my first FF game was the original on the NES (Still have it actually).
I could watch twitch streams but I'd rather not spoil storyline stuff in case I do get the game.

I think it's going to be fantastic. Just not sure when I'll give myself time enough to play it

I've not really played one since X. Kinda fell out with the game after they got rid of turned based action. That was the element I enjoyed most and I just never got on with, what felt like for me, button bashing.

Although I agree with Ruskie, I must say that ever since VI, the story has always been the main reason for me to get a Final Fantasy game. Guess that's why I've stayed away from the Online installments and I haven't played Lightnings Return. I watched the 5 episode Anime prequel to XV and although I wouldn't recommend anyone watching it, it does seem promising.

Interesting. I played the demo a couple of times and the battle system in XV is what has me so hesitant. I love turn based, but also liked XII and found XIII not bad.
I have tried finding a stream where they are in battles, but I invariably seem to find people by story spots or buying things. Those things I do not want spoiled, so I don't watch and wait to see the combat.

I was thinking of buying this myself, I haven't played any other final fantasy since number 7 on ps1. It was a great game I remember from my childhood. I never played another after that so was wondering are they still great games?

I cant tell you how many times I repeatedly beat FF7 as a kid, also when blitzball was introduced on FF10 it was just that much sweeter.........loved FF11, then when FF12 came out and it was like open world type stuff, it just wasn't the same game..............however this one looks fantastic so I might give it a play................PS4 will be here in a couple days can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had Christmas money to spend and it was on sale for $40 US as opposed to the standard $80 Canadian price so I figured why not. Never been a huge RPG fan but I like playing something different every now and then so this fit the bill. Only Final Fantasy games I've ever played were North American FF3(6 elsewhere) way back on the SNES and I played 7 for the first time two or three years ago. I liked 3 and thought 7 was OK but at that point there was almost no chance of it living up to the hype.
Not exactly excited about the modernized hack-and-slash gameplay versus old school turn based since that makes it feel like most other modern RPG's ie Elder Scrolls, Bloodborne instead of the something different I was looking for. At the very least I'm hoping for a decent story since that's something too many games lack these days.
