As impossible as it is to believe, I may very well be getting an exemption to play in the PGA when this week's event ends.
Okay, how does the timing on this work? I won't officially find out until Sunday morning. At that time, will I be able to simultaneously withdraw from the Web event and register for the PGA event? Or do I have to do this in advance or wait until Monday?

The exemption would be available for you come Monday. You could use it for that current week and late register for the PGA event. Or you could also register for any event that is available to register for in the future. I believe the exemption is gone Friday night when the next weeks' event go live, so I'd have a plan in place.

Rather than starting a new thread I'll commandeer Wags thread with a stupid question or two.
So I seemed to manage to get an exemption to play in PGA/Euro.
I am planning on playing next weeks event. Haven't decided if PGA or Euro. So tomorrow I will withdraw from next weeks Web event 12/05-12/10 and register for the PGA/Euro.
Am I still able to play this weeks Web event? If I do poorly I won't lose my exemption already earned correct? (obvious answer but just making sure). Lastly, can I still earn an exemption in the Web event this week and essentially bank them and have 2 shots at my Pro card?
Kind of used to being a CC player and the mandatory exemptions where you were automatically put into the next weeks event in the above tier. Never paid much attention to these questions when they had probably come up before as I never expected to be in a position where I would need to know. lol
Edited to add. I just read the exemption email
Minor events?
How do I know which are minor events? I can't play in those right?

You have to at least pick the week you want to register your exemption for. If you don't do that by Friday, you lose it. So you can schedule it for, say, next week and play Web this week. Then, yes, if you get another exemption, you'll have two. And you'll then have until the following Friday to schedule that one. It's easy to tell when an event is a minor one. Go to the schedule page for all the tiers. You will notice that PGA is at the top, then Euro, then Web. You'll have one event for each tour. If you see a week where you see something like this. PGA PGA Euro Web That means there is a PGA Major and the PGA and Euro events underneath are minor events and thus you can't use your exemption for them. Well, you can, but that would mean throwing it away as you can't get your card in a minor event. Hope this clears up all the questions you have. I missed my exemption by a stroke. FML.

Oh ok thanks Wags looks like I can see it now. I'm considering registering for either the UBS Hong Kong Open or the European Open (when the register link is available tomorrow) in Euro or the Hero World Challenge or Franklin Templeton Shootout in PGA. When I saw "open in the titles of the Euro ones I thought those were minor events. Really haven't decided where I want to play. Need to have a play on each course to see which one will suit me best so I can give it all I got. Don't want to piss away my chance with a bogey fest. I saw you missed yours by one. That sucks. It's like someone slamming a door in your face. Was rooting for you and hoping we could have a go at our cards in the same week.

Don't forget, it's harder to get your PGA card than your Euro card. PGA, you need to be the top exempt player. Euro, you just have to make the cut. So take that into consideration when choosing your event. Good luck! I'll be rooting for you.
