How can you schedule without knowing what you are scheduling?? You say you played only one rd and put it on tour. I just think a little more work needs to go into this. Moe was great at the web level. I cant remember ever seeing anything close to illegal on more then one hole an entire tourney. Schedulers schedule, and rangers play. I appreciate wags looking out for the players, but all others ok'd it for even LOWER levels! It should be mentioned that web is child's play compared to pro, or at least it should be. Thought this week pushed the envelope, but just required careful, but sometimes ugly golf (playing for chips, rattling pins etc). Anyone who is paying attention knows these types of pins have been around for a long time, since last season for sure. While i understand it's hard not to fear the worst, it's one week of 52, not all courses are going to be like this. Tgct is not perfect, but calling out volunteers that keep this site going is a little much. Also, I shot -29, and was -25 after 3. And I'm not great. Imagine if all the pin placements were 2 more grids away from slopes.

The course was nice it reminded me of a tiny local club. All it was missing were the windmills and giant plastic dinosaurs.
Played down to my actual skill level rounds 3 and 4. If I do make the cut I'll probably be near the bottom of those that did in the end.

WTF? Don't see the fuss, Smurf. Plenty of room............... . Run it up the right side of the green, play the slope and make a 15 footer for birdie - seriously people do we all have to land it 5 feet behind the pin for tap ins on every hole? Easy hole for anyone in the top 100 especially in 3mph winds. Whine and cheese party this week I guess...missed the invite!

Went to enter my scores and something did not look correct so I backed away.. When I completed my round 1 shot -3 ..67 and round 2 -7.. 63.. That means par for the course was 70... When I went to enter my first round 67 it showed I was 4 under.. That means par on the scorecard is 71.. Can someone verify this please.. Doyley

Stuff like this happens when designers submit course to site in their original state then adjust for tournaments after they get word it's been selected - easy to slip through the cracks but good to catch early in the submission process.

Hang on I'll grab that Kleenex box you so willingly wanted me to have earlier. sorry I should of pm'd you so you could of sent back there Euro players they can handle it just like every time your dodgy pins are highlighted!! I've a suggestion in we're you can put your pins!!!!!!!!!! Anywhere legal ffs Mate I'm fine, how's about chilling out, I wish I could stick pins mate but all I can do is request setups and get them rangered, I've apologized that a few have added up to a lot but calm down Shane The minority? Everyone that's posted has complained about the pins? Players crossover because of the pins. I know how the system works and I could bring stuff I've seen over there in here but that's not correct or fair. It's unrealistic for you to check everything granted but look at the field size for PGA and the field for Euro. Why is that? Anyway I will play the 4 rounds this week and give you constructive feed back on it and actually I'll do it every week to help you. And it's not anger it's frustration that your reading

Everybody wants a variety of conditions and challenges - until they get one they don't like The rule all schedulers have gone with is 4 yards from edge of green and no yellow or red in 9 boxes 1.5m radius. So your saying that that's rubbish?? It's obvious the shot to play here but the smart sh%$ is to miss short and chip with a lofted 9 iron or PW. This is neither fun fair or realistic the same things the non firm rule was aimed at doing!

Well, the fourth round wasn't good, should have played it right after the third, a 67, -32 for the tournament. I'm not blaming the course I just didn't putt or generally play well.
I have to say I liked the course ( shock horror! ) Kram shot -13 in that fourth round so it obviously was playable. Play for putts and make them seemed to be the way to go. I know a lot of pins were right on the front edge but the greens held the ball, leaving difficult but makeable putts. The course was the same for everyone and a bit of variety can never be a bad thing. If every tournament had concrete greens I'd be the first to complain but this course was always interesting to play.

And you did, along with Christopher. You don't need to play devils advocate Shane! It didn't help that the 2nd post was Smurfs shot of that pin and that yardage, haha, thanks for the stitch up smurfblade88

This is neither fun fair or realistic the same things the non firm rule was aimed at doing! The obvious shot is always not the go and in this instance won't lead to the instabirdie you desire, there's a pot bunker short, chipping from the left side will be a bender and a solid 8yds with a great tee ball and some luck The go to play here just by looking at the pics is long and right along the ridge, will leave a tricky ghost break but most on the Euro can handle them without to much issue The rules are rules but with a discretionary 'grey' area that allows for some leniency and I'm pretty lenient because as I've always said we shouldn't all be MVG throwing in 180 after 180, and here on the Euro most can, except for some newer card earners which will have to think their way around and play to their strengths, if chips aren't a strength don't play for them, if lag putting is your strength hit the green, it's obvious his hole is protecting par pretty well so take it and try get lucky for the bird and move on Just don't go OTT and crying foul, it's not good for anyone

Big fat struggle in round one, I putted poorly which on these greens is not a good idea. Had a few slices of bad luck on top so actually -3 wasn't a complete disaster but need a solid second round now. @ab1980, that is some shooting fella To the debate, it's a team effort running this site, nobody is paid for the time they give. There are one or two who seem to like to find a reason to moan every week. Maybe instead of moaning try volunteering some of your own time to help? Just saying.
