The re-vamped earnings levels in the various tiers is really messed up. Something needs to be done about this and the results-restated for the first 3 tournaments...
Let me use week 3 as an example. I am comparing PGA, Web and CC-A. PGA 22nd place - $28,000 33rd place $13,813
Web: 19th place = $7,575 36th place = $3,008
CC-A 24th place = $18,130 36th place = $16,900
How is it that 36th place in CC-A makes over twice as much $ as 19th place in Web? How is it that 36th place in CC-A makes more than 33rd place in PGA
At this rate, the CC-A, B and C folks are going to rank higher in WGR than the Web folks and some of the PGA folks...
What am I missing??? |

I figured somebody would respond that the PGA week 3 event was a MINOR event. Even so, how is it that CC-A can out earn PGA even if the PGA event is a minor? And that does not even begin to explain how they are tripling the earnings of the folks in Web.... So here is an example from week 2: PGA 20th place = $91,000 33rd place = $38,675 51st place = $16,695 Web 19th place = $5,704 30th place = $4,037 48th place = $1,634 CC-A 19th place = $19,140 32nd place = $17,350 52nd place = $14,200 Using the above - the CC-A guys will be passing Web guys on WGR in no time 52nd place in CC-A earned almost as much as 51st place in PGA. Doyley - That cannot be right.... |

Money and WGR points are like apples and oranges. Wouldn't even worry about comparing money between different tours. I'm sure you've noticed that CC players don't crack the top 200 in WGR - which is due to them not getting the same WGR points as PGA players or Web players

That's like saying the guy fresh out of college, who you are his boss, earns more money than you...but YOU have the title... so no worries...Ha ha
I am just busting your chops sir. But it did look odd. I do not remember this being this way last season. Then again I was in CC up until the end so I did not pay too much attention...
I guess I need to read up on the whole WGR thing...again. Ignore me while I crawl back under my rock...

We bumped up the money payouts on CC-Pro to make sure CC-Am didn't make more money - that's probably what you are noticing. Web.com event payouts are similar to real life payouts and follow that payout structure (winner gets a lot more than 2nd etc) whereas the CC payouts are via ranking so 1st gets marginally more than 2nd.

Don't get too excited. I won almost $15,000 for a T23 in CC-B but there's not a single retailer in my area that is willing to accept lowly CC bucks for anything.
