To preface, I play on Xbox one with a standard Xbox one remote.
So I think most of us use a less than 100% swing on certain chips, flops, pitches, and sand shots. Does anyone find themself doing that with a full swing "normal" shot? The only time I have really tried to swing for a ~95% is with a 5W, 3W, driver (short par 4, long par 3) and maybe a few 3I. I find that "lofting up" the woods doesn't do much in regards to carry distance (if anything it goes further? Also the percentage never drops below 100%) but it does help hold the green better. That fact coupled with the bigger distance gaps between clubs sometimes makes the ~95%er the perfect shot. The problem is consistency and my lack of understanding of the swing engine. What exactly determines the percentages? Is it fully measured by the backswing? I'm assuming tempo through the ball factors in also, but how much?
Anyway, just looking to close up a few gaps in my game so I figured I'd ask.
TLDR: looking to take a 95ish% swing on command and understand the swing engine a bit better.

You can also loft down. That will take the Driver 3W and 5W down to 95%. The ball flight is lower I believe.
