Bug/Glitch/Cheat?? Missing shots....

Was playing a practice round this morning (PS4) against a ghost ball that shot -17 on the course.  Figured it would be a good ghost to learn the course from.  However noticed that the ghost ball kept moving around and shots were missing when I went to replay his shots.

For example:

Par 5 Hole

Ghost

Shot 1 - From tee into fairway trap

Shot 2 - From middle of fairway to rough short of green instead of hitting from trap.

Shot 3 - From fringe to 8-10 ft from pin instead of hitting from rough

Shot 4 - <3 feet opposite side of hole from where shot 3 actually ended up and in for a birdie.

I played 11 holes with this ghost and every hole had glitched shots.  I.e. I see the ball go in the water but when I go back to replay it is in the middle of the fairway.  I see the approach land on the edge of the green but it ends up 4 ft from the pin.  If I replay the hole each shot is not being played from the previous spot it ended up.

This is a practice round so there isn't really such a thing as cheating however I am just curious what could cause this and if it is an exploit that could occur on the tour?  -17 is a pretty good score and this person in no way was that good in the round I played against them.

i think you will find its server related, shots you see dont actually happen....seen most on putting where a ball will drop / not drop when opponent putts but does opposite on your screen, its to do with the internet connection

Yeah, it's a glitch, not a cheat. Someone with more intimate knowledge of the system can explain it. The ball you're seeing somehow isn't the shot that was actually hit...or something to that effect.

I think it has something to do with the winds being different strength and direction in your round compared to the ghost ball round? This is why the ball flight is screwy.

Yeah did a little more research and saw that it occurs frequently...something about watching a ghost with different wind conditions than you. You see their shot as if it is your wind conditions but the ball ends up based on their wind conditions. Makes sense as it would be pretty tough to glitch the PS4. Mostly play practice/real tournaments and not many "play round" rounds so I guess I've never noticed.

NEVER trust a ghost ball when deciding your shot

This happens when you pick ghost balls from tours or tournaments in normal play rounds.

Generally what happens is the ghost ball gets your wind then before the next shot it resets to the position they had from the tournament (from their tournament wind).
