So todays fun lol.
Been taking to clearing out gang hideouts and treasure maps. Along with some shine missions to level up. Yeah Jimmy I can see why you like them. Clearing roadblocks and had one today escorting Lemy on a boat. Lot's of gun play in that role. Had to move my shack from the north though, found the missions of chasing the wagon up in the hills to be kind of tough. I'm moonshining in the Bayou now.
I ran out of dynamite earlier. Been liking tossing some at a group of enemies. So whilst travelling to a spot I got ganked by some wolves. Hey I have an idea, no dynamite so how about Molotov cocktails.
Red Dead 1'st for me today. Set myself on fire 3 times. (never set myself on fire yet in all the time I've played) One I don't have a vid of where I was trying to kill the old lady in the shack rather than do her mission so I can spawn a hideout. It wouldn't let me shoot her (though I've shot her earlier a week or so ago, it wanted me to play her mission this time) So how about I toss a Molotov in the shack. What could go wrong? I can hit the door frame and it can bounce back to me and burn me alive is what can happen. lol
And 3'rd time, again no dynamite to blow up my delivery cart. So lets try and burn it...and me too. Guess I should have moved further away.
Game is lots o fun. Shame I'll be on a short hiatus while I check out the new season in D2 that just hit an hour ago. Haven't tried it yet. Need to download the update yet.
Got my trader to level 9 today too. One more level than I can get the hunting wagon and farm some pigs from Flatneck. Shine is level 3 now. Still have a set of missions "a life of shine" that is locked and from what I read on that internet thing I need to be level 5 of shine to open them.
So for all of you who want to see me burn alive..gather round lol

Lol. I’ve burned myself up with incendiary grenades in Battlefield but I don’t think I’ve molotoved myself in RDR.
Good stuff. My moonshine shack is just south of Manzanita Post. I like the proximity to the fast travel there.

Been wanting to move my shack into the west but at 250 bucks its a lot of money. I just did my largest trader sale for 350'ish and now have 670'ish but not willing to part with it yet. However. I may. I'm here now because I had yet another blackscreen after selecting a mission from moonshine lady. Only times I ever bug out is after I select a mission from her. It's either a black loading screen that just goes on and on or I get booted right off the net and have to go into my computer wireless properties and reconnect with my connection. ONLY time this happens is after starting a new shine mission. I may move to the west in hopes that its bugging out trying to load all the bayou map stuff.

Collector I think 4
Naturalist 1 (and if she gasses me one more time with her spray on acid there is going to be gunplay involved lol)
Bounty still at 1 but been doing a few of those lately.
Got my 1'st legendary yesterday. Ghost panther. And it came in a weird way. Was in the swamps, heard some gunfire, saw the blue icon of a another player down. Went to revive him (if you can revive, not sure) on my way got attacked my 3 large cats. Killed them and had no idea one was a legendary until I skinned it. Guy comes by (he was on mic, I'm not) and he says "oh you got it eh". I dropped it, figured it was his by all rights. He says back on mic, "oh no take it, I have all the legendaries. anyway." I stood there, not being able to say anything with no mic, threw an emote at him and took it. Felt bad but he gave it to me (though I did the killing) Wish I could remember his name, I looked his profile in the player menu and he was level 200+.
Would have loved to send him a thank you message. This game needs in game chat. One thing I love in Destiny is just getting into some chatting while running some bounties or something and wind up running with a rando for the day.
The legendary spawn rates are few and far between for me. I'll never get even 5 of them
(Never did get back into Destiny 2 even with it's new season that came last week. Loaded it up and went "nah" back to Red Dead. Red seems to suit my gaming style as of late, little slower pace yet still fills my open world RPG fix)
Ok rested up (left handed cigarette in me now) and now to go back and run that shine mission again

lol weird day in red dead world.
So I went back to do the shine mission. On the way I got accosted by the panthers again and the Legendary Ghost Panther popped up. Killed me twice. Then I respawn and now I'm not the only one hunting it. We close in, other guy was trying to sedate it for Acid Spraying b%&. Pleads with me not to kill it. So I let him get his sample, and take one for myself. I paid it forward I suppose. Really cool how in a game that is based on outlawing how people are so nice and pleasant and thankful. I actually tried to revive it at 1'st but didn't have any reviver left, hung around a little bit then decided to finish it. Edited the waiting part out, and the kill
I then run all the way up north to bring it to Cripps. Mission for shine is still there. So start the run all way south again. I get a stranger mission pop up as I'm riding by. I don't trust the random ones like that as they seem to try and steal my horse or are setting me up for an ambush. So I have my weapon drawn as I approach her. She is offering to sell me a treasure map. Sure I'll take it. Top left is prompting me to approach her if I want to buy it. Sure. I hit my left trigger to engage the stranger....forget I have my weapon drawn. (kind of like how in one of the Assasins Creed games I was trying to take a photo, not knowing the controls I accidently slit the throat of an innocent lol) She freaks out and gives it to me and runs away. You can see at the very end I quickly hit X to try and pay her but the encounter was already run and she didn't get her 5 bucks. Oh well lol

I perused a bit of your video earlier Jimmy looking for tips. Plan to delve a little deeper into it to see if I can pick anything up. I noticed you have a fast travel at your camp. Can't wait until I unlock that. (and already missing the free fast travel anywhere they had going last week) The new missions are kind of fun, did one yesterday. Like how you can up the difficulty after 1'st clear.
How in the hell do you do moonshine deliveries. All Scarface is giving me is is take out the revenue agents or destroy a rivals still. Level 8. Do I need to level up some more?
My horse is called "Bag of Hammers" Since its dumber than a bag of hammers but was too long a name. Dog is called Juggs. Censor wouldn't let me call it "little skank".
Weird behavior from a person I saw yesterday. In Valentine, I clean and ammo up (Valentine is my go to spot to ammo up) *side note, gunsmith in Rhodes reminds me of David Crosby* When leaving I see a guy (real person) just walking his horse around the city. I go away for a good while. I come back and there is this guy still walking his horse around. 30 minutes or so of it..wtf? lol

Oh my f'n god. I just read on the internet about upgrading your shine recipe using the table by him. I've never noticed that yet. I just went there and found out I wasn't producing anything at all. The prompt when you walk up to it was barely noticeable and I just walk by it all the time.
I'm now in bussiness.
Wow do I feel stupid lol Level 8 without even producing anything since day one lol

What system are you guys playing on? I have to reteach myself the keyboard mouse, that's my go to play system but I do have this on XBox and have only played offline on that

Use controller. I know that's heathen talk for a lot of people but I can't do Keyboard/mouse. Pain in my hands just make it too uncomfortable. In Destiny it's not an issue. Many controller people use them. Not bad in Red dead either. I imagine with the more hardcore FPS's keyboard is the way to go but have held my own in my little dabblings with Battlefield and even PUBG when it came out. |
