Would it be an idea for players who return after a year plus to get a sponsors exemption into their former tour, make the cut and they go back into it?
Just making the suggestion after seeing the reaction to Tim's son coming back on CC A and basically winning after 3 rounds.

Just making the suggestion after seeing the reaction to Tim's son coming back on CC A and basically winning after 3 rounds. I'm not sure what the problem is. All I have seen is one person complaining because they were demoted for being away for awhile (per the rules), and now have to EARN their way back to wherever they came from. The same person says "I'll give it 3 events or I'll quit". So, if you're not actually playing well enough to make it back, what makes you think you're going to be competitive once you're back? The argument of "but I was here way back when blah, blah, blah" doesn't hold water either. There have been several new players join in the last year, and many are quite good. So, it's okay if somebody gets preferential treatment because they were playing on tour over a year ago even though it punishes people who may be newer to TGCT but have earned their way to wherever they are. As I said in the shoutbox, CC isn't what it was over a year ago. This last season the field was very deep and competitive, especially in CC A and B. WGR really doesn't mean a damn thing in this case. Sounds like some butthurt to me. If you're better than the current CC field then you should have no problem at all getting back to Web in the next few tournaments. Just my opinion...

You've got it backwards Griff, the complaining was from a guy who's been on CC and then has a player come back and is too good for the tour so their 3rd round score is already better than everyone elses final scores. If Nick Russell and Steve Sloan ever return they'll be in CC A as well even though they won multiple times on the PGA Tour.I told him the Tours would even out after a few weeks of promotions, but I do see his point.

Yeah...they even out rather quickly. My apologies...it was rather hard to follow the point of view on that. That being said, the person who won is obviously advancing...so it's not that way every week.Seeing as it's 1 week out of a 50+ week season, I still don't see it as unfair even though I do see and understand his point.

Yeah Zack thought he would be in Web but apparently he is in CC-A. I think he has only played a few events total and with modified football and then varsity wrestling coming in the next month he won't be around long I'm sure. That and he is only 13 so who knows.
Even David Williams would be there in CC. No doubt it's advantage for them if they decided to come back.
When TGC2 comes out I think there will be QC school so even if they come back in March 2017 they would be put in the appropriate tour as everybody else would. I would bet some of these guys will be back especially with a new game to create some excitement

haha, I have enough Chris. Think I have 4-5 in the cabinet with a couple wins. I'm good.
Don't think I will get as hot as was early/mid last season. I had 3 straight Top 2 finishes. Good times there. Just don't have the desire really anymore and feels like a chore to get through any rounds. These gravy setups we have now with having to birdie almost every hole doesn't feel like golf to me. I want a challenge. Been vocal about that for a long time now

It can be done correctly and has been done so by many designers with run up areas and larger greens with flags accompanying it.
I can also understand the difficulty of trying to please everybody but of course trying to please majority of folks here and keep this as a viable site
