Sorry to come here as a complete non-designer, but I would ask that the yardage markers stop being incorporated into fairways. They do get hit once in a while. Sometimes quite squarely which leaves the player to have to fade/draw a shot into a green which otherwise was a good drive that should be rewarded.
Carry on.

I will agree but only with lots of anger because I LIKE using them in the fairway. I see it all the time in real life but they are moveable to it's no big deal. BAH!...

I really hope they are going to add yardage lids with TGC2.
That's what I see on almost every course in real life on the fairways. Not sure I've ever seen a stake in the middle of a fairway, and I play golf now for more than 20 years.

Yeah, I've not seem them IN the actual fairway except for 1 course about 20 minutes from me. The markers on that course are there to give you a sightline to the fairway and they are all 150 yards from the center of the green. They are also immovable, but you get a free drop. Any other time I see them, they are OUTSIDE the fairway in a cut of rough. Usually at 200, 150, and 100 yards from the center of the green. You can move all of those, also. I'm more partial to sprinkler lids.
