So who's getting this on the 7th?
I'm really looking forward to this, been following it for years. I was a big fan of the first 2 games and I love what I've seen of 3.
The setting being in the late 60s is gonna be great. The soundtrack alone is incredible.
I preordered on steam. Its nice its only 35quid.

Anyways I'll either be doing streams or a yt series on this when it unlocks.

Was super excited for it but nervous now that they didn't send out review copies

Yeah i am a little uneasy about the lack of early review copies also.
Its not always a bad sign.
DOOM didnt have early press copies and that imo is game of the year so far.
A game that is this story focused it may be to keep spoilers to a minimum.
We'll see. Mafia 1 and 2 were great. I hope they continue that good game trend.

I like the game too, to bad it hasnt multiplayer in it, that would be awsome.
They should add this to create clubs and such, to compete with other maffiaclubs online.

I've pre-ordered a hard copy to pick up in store, but a bit nervous about it as well. It looks really good.

Absolutely loving it so far.

After a couple hours of play time, I will be bringing this one back (I got the PC hard copy from be games and am allowed to return after a few days if I don't like it). The PC port is locked at 30fps and looks like a game from 2012 graphics wise. The story seems pretty good, but I don't see if holding my interest. A real shame as I was excited about this one.

Well, turns out I used the code and can't take it back. Guess I'm waiting for a patch.

They unlocking frame rate in next day or 2.
I'm hooked on the story.
It may not have the most polished textures but it looks fine to me.
The lip syncing in the cut scenes is some of the best i've seen.

Its somewhat repetitive. You have to take a few rackets in a district before you take it over.
Which involves doing similar stuff. 
I am loving it though.
I'm 47 hours into the story now. I am getting all the collectables and doing extra side missions though.
Its still really fun to me. The story is great and progresses really nicely.
There's some really good and rememberable story missions.
The AI is pretty bad and stealth is somewhat easy. Which is nice personally as i loathe stealth games usually.
If it goes tits up it can get really tough. I am playing on Hard though.
It's just got a great vibe to it. It really feels like the late 60s.
The soundtrack is incredible. All the old greats of the time.

Its no GTA killer, and I don't think it set out to do that.
Just because we have GTA doesn't mean you can't enjoy other open world games.

Thanks for the reply. I will get it soon as I love that theme but maybe after Watch Dogs 2. I'm ok with the difficulty. If its a game I just want the story then I will leave it on medium difficulty or some cases - like Dragon Age - I will put it on easy just to blast through it. I always intended to get it but a few games came up cheap on PS store: DA, Everyone's gone to the rapure, Journey! Cant really get going with any of them mainly as I now have F!, fifa and of course TGC. I do love a good open world game though
