Just an idea seeming the general demographic of the older men/women on tour would be more likely to be people that play for fun and enjoyment of the game and wouldn't take the game overly serious. With the younger section these would be lads that probably take the game super serious and might be an idea that they have an academy tour before they get whipped by sweeney every week. We already have the seniors done by bogeyman and IMO i think this would be an idea for TGC2 that would keep more people interested. Seniors would be optional Juniors compulsary but can be moved to pro tours based on performance.

Moe Slorkman Moe many of our players on our Seniors Tour have asked me this very question - will the Senior Tour ever be official? And I always answer "no idea I am just a shitkicker round here with no power." Seriously though I wouldn't mind it becoming official, although it would change the nature of the tour dramatically. One of the things I love about the tour is that we get to play one round on 10 great courses each month by extremely talented designers at our own pace and here's the thing I try and vary the courses as much as possible - themes, difficulty, a little fun course every now and then and at least one iconic RCR. I then get to nominate which order we're going to play the courses to mix it up even further and I never find the tour boring. Several of our members have echoed the same sentiments. If "official" this would be lost forever and presumably you'd be back to playing the same course four times each week (probably only 2 for me 'cos I never make the freakin' cut). If it were made "official" "my way" that would be Utopia. But unfortunately mate we don't live there.

Before voting a point of clarification please. If there were an "official" senior tour it and one chose to participate, I am assuming this would preclude a person from also playing in PGA/Euro/Web/CC at least for that week correct? So if you officially declared yourself a member of the senior TGCT any crossover you did would not count for money/WGR if even the senior tour were a WGR event at all?
I am a "senior" and participate on the senior community event and it's a hoot. I love it. But I just earned a Web card and wish to continue to pursue Web.
Senior tour would be a mismash of PGA/Web/CC seniors.

Im purely spit balling ideas here I would have the senior tour separate like IRL with there own WGR but they can get invites to all majors but would be excluded from regular events. But maybe running it alongside like true sim is could be a better route. bogeyman this is your baby IMO but im sure some there would be someway to make it happen that wouldn't mess you current system up. My idea is to keep everyone happy Also I hope my courses have been on your tour

As for keeping everyone happy, good luck with that... Guys ( bogeyman and Moe) keep up the good work!!!

I voted NO but I think I might want to change that.
I can see a scenario where the top Senior Tour players can be invited to certain majors and maybe have 5 or so additional passes to play in the Euro or PGA.
In general, I also think there should be a handful of open tournaments throughout the season where all of the flights can play together.

I really like the format you have chosen for the current Seniors Tour and I am wondering why it could not be possible to keep that format with one month to play 10 courses - a little like TGCT being in a different format. I think the point mde8965 makes about participation in Seniors Tour should exclude from regular if it is like real golf is correct. However, if Seniors Tour maintain current different format, there should be no problem with having people enter this alongside the regular tours just like TGCT.

If I really had my way with this, we would keep the Senior thing as a community event. Formatted exactly as it is now. I too love the 10 round a month format. So keep doing what you are doing bogeyman
