I have so many great memories of watching him with my father. I happened to be on the phone with my dad when I heard the news. He summed it up perfectly: "Jack was better, but I always liked Arnold better. He was "the King" of golf and there will never be another."
For me it was Arnold that did so much for golf. The Grand Slam, the Senior Tour and bringing golf into the modern era.

R.I.P. We are losing a lot of legends this year. Getting sick of it

Where are you getting this news? The Golf Channel and Golf Digest was the first to announce it. It has reached the mainstream news now. Going with what my father said I think I prefer, "Jack was the better golfer, but Arnie was simply the best." He loved three things in his life, Golf, Flying and his wife. He stopped flying in 2011 and golf in 2015. After that we knew that it wasn't going to be long. Arnold just made golf look so cool.

RIP to the legend. 2016 can end now. Apparently Bowie, Rickman and Ali needed a fourth.

I was covering an event one time for work and he was there. (I met him many times over the years because of work, but I digress...) As we're waiting around for things to get started there was a little refreshments table. Finger foods, beer, sodas..............can you guess where this is going?
Yes, I had one made by the master. (Made us both one at once.)
Almost wanted to try and find a way to save it rather than drink it.

RIP to the legend. 2016 can end now. Apparently Bowie, Rickman and Ali needed a fourth. Gordie Howe would be another legend who redefined his sport that has died this year.

I'm too young to have watched Arnie in his prime, but more than old enough to recongize the indelible mark he left not just on golf, but the entire sports world.
RIP Arnie. Jack may have more majors, but you'll forever be The King!
