Doral Blue Monster.... refuse to call it Trump National at Doral.... eh. Been to the WGC Championship played there each year since I moved to Miami. Got the play the original design a few times before the re-do. Not ready to pony up $400.00 for greens fees. However when it comes to playing golf in real life, I get my money's worth. I usually take 90 swings around, instead of those that take 70. So at that rate I am only paying $4.44 per shot, while the scratch golfer must pay $5.71 per shot. Guess there is a benefit to being a hacker.

The Memorial Tournament. Been there every year for the past like 10 so I'm excited for that one.

Pretty much gotta be The Wales Open at Celtic Manor even though its across the bridge in another country - it's only 30 miles away.
Slim pickings if we're talking about European Tour events as the only one in England is at Wentworth although that's still only 90 odd miles from me
The only 'championship level' course I've played is St Mellion in Cornwall and that was many years ago on the Old course prior to their very impressive revamp in 2010

Atlanta is 105 miles away from me, so either of the two big tourneys there. Augusta is around a 5 hour drive.
Many years back, the yearly Southern Open was held at a local country club, Green Island Hills. 1987 Masters champion Larry Mize resides in the adjoining neighborhood. The last time I went in 1986, It featured guys like Andy Bean, Tim Simpson, Bob Tway, Payne Stewart, Corey Pavin & Kenny Knox. Nicklaus played there in '85, 6 months before he would shock the world in April of '86.

The Memorial tournament in Dublin Ohio. The home of jack Nicklaus. I live about an hour from there. I've seen tiger win there 3 times. Beautiful property

I followed Tom Watson, my hero at the time, for 36 holes and finally got his autograph at the Bellsouth/Atlanta Classic back in the early 80s. Damn, I guess that makes me pretty old.

Have liked the Greenbrier the last few years, but some may be based on the course selection
