New to the designing....so bare with me. I have a few holes laid out that I would like upload for "expert" eyes to see and provide feedback before I get too far into the course and have to go back and fix a bunch of stuff. So my questions were...
1) On one of the holes there is a par 4 that is 400+ yards but the "play hole" always starts with a pitching wedge. Is there a way to fix that or what possibly is making this be the club of choice? It is a uphill slope over a creek.
2) I have noticed that my fairways do not always have the same rough width. One side may end up wider than another. Is there an easy way to fix this to be more uniform outside of deleting that sections and doing it again?
3) I tried to find something on saving and uploading images taken through the Xbox1 but I did not see anything concrete. I created a imgur account but not sure how to take the good quality photos using the console.
That is all I can think of at the moment....thanks in advance.

Hey David, definitely not an expert with the designer, but I do think I know how to help you for #1 and #2.
For #1, you need to move the waypoint of the hole further away from the tee (about where the drive will land). Hover the cursor over the middle of the hole while zoomed out and choose "MOVE" (has a picture of a shovel, I believe). Then move that waypoint up the fairway and the default club should change.
For #2, unfortunately you've found a bit of a quirk with the designer, as not all shapes will behave the same. Some shapes give you double the rough size when applied around a fairway. Why this happened, I have no idea, but it's very annoying. As you get more seasoned you will learn which shapes give you the big rough and which ones don't. Unless you want to delete all of your rough, go to the sections with thicker rough, and just delete one layer. Two clicks of the large shaped rough is equal three clicks of the thinner rough, or is at least kinda close.
On a separate note, I'm pretty sure some green shapes have thicker fringe as well, so that's something to look out for.
I don't want to say you're screwed, but it'll take some work to un-do the rough stuff. An unfortunate "feature" of the designer.

Matt nailed it on #1. Move the waypoint to about 260 - 285 yards...defaults to driver.
As for the rough, the fuzzier the edge of the brush you are using is, the wider the click of rough is. If you are using the "3-click" method to apply your first cut, you will click 3 times on a brush that has a sharp edge, but only twice on a brush with a softer (really fuzzy) edge. That being said, your 1st cut doesn't have to be perfectly uniform tee to green. There's nothing wrong with having some areas have a wider 1st cut depending on the area and the shot being played into it. I'm always more concerned with the cut following the contour of the fairway than am exactly how wide it is.

Okay.... Many thanks Griff. My OCD was kicking in when I took a closer look at what some of the lines were doing. I think I have 5 or 6 holes up to play without doing a lot of planting or "Sweeney proofing" greens (as they say). I will take into consideration a lot of what I hear in this community (likes/dislikes) as I press forward in completing this course.
I looked around the web on the Xbox upload of screen shots so I will play around with that at some point and maybe get some first look opinions.

I looked around the web on the Xbox upload of screen shots so I will play around with that at some point and maybe get some first look opinions. It took me a while to figure this out and I think I even have a thread asking this somewhere. Anyway, my method is to open the XBox app on my Windows 10 PC. You can then download your captures (video or image) to the PC. I then go into my imgur account and upload the images to imgur from my PC. Imgur gives you a link that you can then post into the image link in the TGC post header and post into the forum. I hope that makes sense. It is long-winded but the only way I've found so far. Also unlike PC there is no photo mode in XB1 (AFAIK). Screenshots will have all the HUD overlay unless you capture them during the flyover. One point to add on #1. The waypoint must be in the fairway or on the green or it will also give you a shorter club. I've also found this occur sometimes when there is a wide area of trouble between your tee and the fairway (e.g on a 90 degree dogleg where you are aiming across the corner over a lot of trouble).
