To be fair, I don't really want to criticise other peoples' courses as it isn't really fair on them.
I was dissapointed that I didn't make the final ten though. I put a lot of effort into it so it's a bit of a kick in the teeth.
I wonder if I'd have done any better if I'd have entered Isla Madeleine instead.

I don't know if you would have done better since I don't know the criteria they were judging this competition on but in my book Isla Madeleine is one of the top 2 courses in the game right now (together with Craig's Pine Valley, New Jersey). The amount of work that obviously went into Isla Madeleine almost made me give up on designing my own course because in a million years I could not even come close to it!

Agree... you have to figure out how was picking the winners... people who write for a golf website that probably put 10 names in a hat and draw one at random.

Everyone who regularly plays tgc knows who the lords of design are. There are a plenty of nice courses, a number of people who make fantastic courses and a few who you just know when you play their course it's likely a masterpiece you may step onto.

Oh, I think I found a promotional pic of the group of them. Attachments:

Oh, I think I found a promotional pic of the group of them. Michael Flatley paid me to write it that way.

Here, Biggs. Fill in the blanks as required. Haha, I can't believe I've become that guy.
