I'm relatively new to the game so apologies if this has been discussed before.
As i played my usual round in the tour event last night (unusually) my connection to the game's server seemed very poor last night and dropped out three times, taking me back to the home screen to reconnect. Coincidentally (or not) I was also suffering very badly from under hit shots throughout the round. Off the tee and putting seemed fine but iron/approach shots were very inconsistent - some/most were OK but I think I had 4 or 5 which were below 100% (including one at 82%). I rarely suffer from these so not sure if I just had a bad evening technique wise or if it's related to the server issues. In any case I had to scramble really well to save par three times.
The wee wireless icon at the bottom right of the screen was constantly flashing (and greyed out). Also not sure if this is normal as I never usually notice it? I'm in the UK, use PS4 and have a 35Mb fibre wireless connection.

I don't think it is normal but I did have similar issues last night also. Cost me my second round.

Yes - HB denies it but there is a clear connection between slow network speeds / bad connection and less than 100% shots.

Thanks guys - good to know I wasn't alone.
I guess I should have just postponed the rest of my round when I noticed it happening as it's not worth the risk of losing up to 20% on some shots - however infrequent.

I've also noticed a slight lag on occasion as ghost balls are landing, possibly as the calculations for bounce are computed(?). I've learned to hold my backswing for a second and make sure the motion has stopped before flicking the stick forward. I haven't had any problems since I started doing this. It will probably ruin the timing of the swing come TGC2, but it works like a champ right now. Hope this helps.

I've been having the less then 100% off and on all this week, it's hurting my tournament rds.
I agree with what you said mcbogga Yes - HB denies it but there is a clear connection between slow network speeds / bad connection and less than 100% shots.
This is part of the game I hate, having it being a online game, I would rather it be offline just because of the connection issue and lag that HB claim they never see on there end.

The last few days those connection issues are terrible. No fun whatsoever...nothing to do with my connection at home, on other games no problems on the PS4. Why HB denies this?

I get hit with it once in a while too. Usually 90 or 94% on approaches. I have a technique where I look at my controller while I move thumbstick on PS4 on drives and approaches as it helps me hit straighter shots but not looking at the screen can cause issues like this for me. This won't work on TGC2 since an overswing will be penalized from what I hear but exploit it here . Usually I give a 2 count on the backswing but when over water or on a hill I give it 3 to be safe. Usually happens when there is lag due to poor FPS. I have turned off depth of field to improve FPS on PS4 and actually think most courses look better without DOF. I also turned off V-sync which interestingly causes less page tear for me on PS4 which is odd since V-Sync is supposed to prevent just that but get smoother play with it off probably because the game usually struggles to even keep 30FPS and page tear wouldn't happen until you pass refresh rate of TV which is higher than 60. Since I've done that it happens very infrequently usually my fault for being too anxious on my swings. I always deloft and swing 100% unless doing a flop around the green.
