Does those blocks on the greens also have a calculation depending on the wind?
What exactly do you mean by that?

If you have an approach shot to the green, you see those blocks with yellow lines, same goes when you have to putt on the green. 1 block is 10 yards, so how is this calculated adjusted to wind? Hehehe...lol

Hehehe...lol You may want to double check with some of the other players but I think 1 block is actually 3 yards. I may be wrong. There is a thread in Driving Range. Actually a lot of helpful tips. Combine what you know, tips from the driving range thread, playing rounds on different courses, concentrating big time on putting (play Boom Booms putting course, watch as many of the PGA guys on twitch, watch Doubtful Obelisk's twitch video titled "how I play TGC", and mix a little luck and you will find yourself climbing quicker that you know what happened. I'm being serious as much as it may seem I'm kidding. That is a combo of what has been told to me over the last 5 months and it has payed off. Good luck on your journey and don't get frustrated. We are having fun right!? See you on the links. Cheers!

Yeah I saw those clips from Obelisk. Im much better now, then in the beginning, but I need much and much more improvements...especially on higher winds and straight shots and putting. My strongest point are those long putts on the green. I get very close to the pin, inside those 1 block, sometimes 2 blocks and sometimes a long putt in the hole, its realy scary how close I get to the putt, compared to other good and better players. If I could hit straighter lines and drive better shots in high winds, I think I will be someone to watch for , but atm Im not there yet.

I'd still like to know what the stupid yellow marker does for putting moving it in or out. I just aim it left or right and fire away when I putt.

Thanks Thomas.....I read through those and I'm just going to have to play around with it I guess. Everybody has a different method so it's kind of hard to go by all those suggestions. I kind of get the just of what there striving for so I'll just practice around with it...thanks again!!

Each block of green grid is 1 meter by one meter, or a little bit bigger than one yard.

I don't do any of the click method, just look at the wind and try to see the line the ball will take. If the wind is at an angle, I try to estimate the vectors as they would apply to the vertical (headwind/tailwind) and horizontal (crosswind). The total wind is the hypotenuse of a right triangle, and the vectors are the opposite and adjacent. I make the vertical correction first, then crosswind correction, and hope the wind stays more-or-less constant lol. Wind affects the higher loft clubs more.
And I also use Drevoloverb's swing technique. Pull it back and wait for the backswing to complete (to avoid the 94% shots on XB1), then quickly slam it forward and let my thumb come off at the end of the swing, to avoid too much pressure on the controller. Works like a champ. Really can't fine-tune wind adjustment until you can get a consistent swing, imo. Hope this helps.

Im using clicks for headwind and draw/fade headwind. Its getting better now, but still having trouble with those strong cross and sidewinds and offcourse my straight line shots, its terrible sometimes. If I could hit more straight, I know for sure that I will be in CC-A or Web soon.

Errol, before buying a new controller, clean your current one with a few q-tips and some isopropyl alcohol. Hopefully that helps. Apply it in a circular motion to the base of each thumbstick and give it an appropriate time to dry. Good luck.
