Ok......hold on.......does this mean i'm now number 4 on the Canadian team at the Olympics? I'm going to Rio? ? No that means you are afraid of Zika and are staying home When ever I hear the "freedom of speech" argument it saddens me how much people don't understand the 1st amendment. As stated earlier, this is not a public forum. It is a website owned and operated by Tim and other admins. You are here are their invitation. Being a private website, they have the right to make whatever rules they wish. You agree to those rules when you become a member and can start posting here. The First Amendment has zero standing on the TGCT Forums period. Now if you want to walk around, outside, on public property or on your own and say whatever you want to say, good on you. You want to create your own website and write whatever you want on it. Good on you. You will be protected by the 1st Amendment. But on here, for the same reason you don't have 1st amendment rights on here, trying to sue a private site because they won't let you join is also a losing proposition. Ever here you have the right to refuse service? So long as you aren't refusing it based on race, creed, religion, sex then you are good. Considering the fact that this guy cheated, was banned and went around that ban, he has zero standing here. End of story. For the record, freedom of speech means the government can't hush you up or pass a law to hinder you. It also means that in a public area, others don't have the right to stifle your free speech. What free speech doesn't mean is: 1. I have to agree with what you say 2. I have to listen to what you have to say 3. I have to hang around while you say it Also: There is no right guaranteeing you: 1. Safe space 2. Not to be offended

The definition is that you are FREE to say whatever you want. I think you are under the mistaken impression that this is a public forum where you are free to say/ do whatever you want.  This is a private forum and there are rules to be upheld.  If you don't like them you are free to go elsewhere. Your citing of freedom of speech is extremely misguided.  It's the cry of people who want to act like idiots wherever and whenever they want. However, I can put you in touch with a number of civil lawyers who would be more than happy to meet with you and subsequently laugh you out the door. So freedom of speech isn't about being able to speak freely. I know that the freedom of speech act is constantly abused by the US and CAN governments but jesus. Was Snowden the only guy with any vision over there?

As a nobody around these parts, this is all just so sad for me. I look up to so many of the really good golfers here. I never even entertain the possibility that anyone here is anything but 100% above board. Maybe that makes me naive. I don't know. But this really stings. Boomer had helped my game so much, you have no idea. And even though I will probably end up back in CC because of how late I entered Web this season, I have no doubt that I will be back and that is in large part because of what he taught me.
I don't even know what else to say.
It's just...sad.

Its the fact that he had a ban under another name for cheating and did not honor that ban and made another name within two months. Yes, he is a good player, but rules trump all for me. Good luck in your endeavor, wags. keep a hold of that Web card if you have to defend it. If you alternatively make it to the Web.com Finals instead, good luck to you making the top tours.

The definition is that you are FREE to say whatever you want. But there may be consequences... Snatch squad approaching.

Was Snowden the only guy with any vision over there? Freedom of speech is exactly about being able to speak freely. I don't understand how you don't get this. The guys who were banned spoke freely, violated rules they agreed to (when they signed up and checked that little "Agree" box) and were punished for it. That's in no way a violation of free speech. Is it overly sensitive by the admin staff? That could be debated. I don't happen to think so, but you can debate it. So here's how it would be a violation of freedom of speech: If smurfblade's government showed up at his door (not picking on him specifically, just the first name I thought of) and fined or jailed him for using the C word. This isn't that complicated.

"Men, we fight for an end to tyranny, for our fellow countryman, and for our family and friends. But more importantly, we fight so that one day, our grandchildren will be free to call people ***** on the internet"

It's unfortunate Steve could not serve out his full suspension last year that was handed down. He could have still played the rounds each week but obviously scores would not have been submitted or counted. He probably would have still picked up his wins this year either way as he is a great talent. TGC Tours has already stated they didn't see anything fishy on BoomBoom's account. One of the best designers we have as well so it will be a loss on our end. I'd rather replay quality courses from Season 1 by the likes of: Scarpacci Taste Simpson Dale Burger Craig Frey Phil Harris Job Fickett the list could go on, rather than play something by a guy who is leading a fantasy double life in an online golf forum, couldn't obey the rules and serve out his ban.

If you have 2,000 plus posts to this forum it might be a good idea to take a walk outside for a change of pace.

Like they all pointed out..... It was banter between friends. If you don't like it then why can't you just ignore it?
