Looks like there is a Battlefest event starting tomorrow or Friday where Premium Pass members can invite their friends who don't have the Premium Pass into the new maps. Hopefully they'll have more servers up and running.

EA/Dice are trailing Premium Friends.
Basically it allows non-premium players to party up with premium friends to try out the new maps/modes.
I have premium so if any of you wanna try out the maps/modes let me know.

I have premium so if any of you wanna try out the maps/modes let me know. My origin tag is xGd0g They've added Fog of War and Line of sight game modes too. Would highly recommend playing line of sight to anyone trying to unlock the 2nd new scout infantry rifle as the mode gives double damage, basically making it a 1 shot kill instead of taking ages to reload and getting killed in the mean time, maybe thats just me being useless though  Can only use medic and scout class with no grenades in that mode. |

PBS television is running a 4 part documentary called "The Great War". So far, Part 1 has added an amazing historical backdrop for that adds to the tidbits the game comments on. If you get a chance to watch and enjoy history in general, i highly recommend this. I didn't realize how much I did not know about WWI.

I saw that advertised. I will check that out.
I will say this is the first battfield I am bored with. Not really sure why. I think it's the maps and the WW1 setting. They mostly look the same and I always preferred present day shooters. Might be I'm just getting older and don't have the energy for fps anymore.

I still haven't got into it enough to be bored with it. Seems to me like there is far less stuff you get as you play. In BF 3 and 4 you could barely play a round without unlocking something or leveling something up. In 1 it just feels like you play one round and then move on to the next. For me it just lacks the type of progression that keeps things flowing from one match to the next. And does it even feature any stats at all? I haven't seen anyplace in the game where it even shows basic numbers like K/D or anything.

I like the new maps except for Verdun as everything seems to blend in. Be interesting to see what they come up with for the next Russian expansion for the Eastern Front. |

I like the fact that not everyone is nerfed out also. That's the appeal to me. There's weakness for any class you choose. The Frontlines game mode is pretty intense and Operations is fun. After watching the PBS show, the maps seem to be very genuine to the fields of battle and regions. I'm interested in the Eatern Front release also along with the Platoons addition. If you DL the smart phone app, there are a ton of stats related to your gameplay that you don't see under the Soldier tab in the game. You can also put together your own Emblem from there that appears on tanks and planes when you are driving them. But like the skins, its cosmetic. I understand they have dedicated themselves to doing monthly content updates now. Not sure how long that will last or what it will consist of but DICE/EA are all in with this. I heard CoD is working on a WWII game at the moment. I'm not a CoD person but i would play that. |

I forgot to mention, that at the bottom of the home page there is links to other games that are tracking stats too.
For example - COD, Overwatch, Destiny just to name a few
