So here's my short review from 30 mins of gameplay.
This game has a great visual appeal with lots of moving parts and options. However, I have no idea why they included modern warfare type targeting and voice-overs. It makes it feel like you are just doing some weird WWI reenactment in an alternative universe. It's not very immersive in my opinion and I'll be waiting for mods to make it more like what WWI would have been like.
I sincerely hope they have good trench warfare maps for the main release.

Played a quick round and thought it was OK. After three years of BF4 off and on it's going to take some time to adjust.

Played a bit more and I enjoyed it. Always keeping in mind it is a beta and the full game will have more, I did like how it played enough to look forward to my pre-order arriving on launch day.

Played a bit more and I enjoyed it. Always keeping in mind it is a beta and the full game will have more, I did like how it played enough to look forward to my pre-order arriving on launch day. True. Full game has always been a pleasant surprise after beta. |

Battlefield 4 is still some good stuff after all this time. Still lots of people playing it too. Makes me wonder how BF1 is going to fare since they are once again straying from the traditional formula ala Hardline and Battlefront and neither of those games managed to keep people away from 4 on a long term basis. Hard to judge from a beta but if they don't nail down the WW1 look and feel and make it something more than traditional Battlefield but with old weapons and horses I could see BF4 still continuing to reign supreme.

Battlefield 1 will be the biggest and best BF to date. It will sell a ton more than BF4 mainly because people have modern warfare fatigue. Dice made a top notch decision by going into the WW1 era. |

I'll be picking up the deluxe early enlister edition on Tuesday for PS4. If anyone needs a sacrificial bullet sponge, I'll be bleeding out or going on a suicide charge somewhere on the Western Front.

Early Enlister, bought, pre loaded and ready for whenever I am. Abscessed tooth going on so not sure I'll get to play much tomorrow or not. See how I feel.
Bought it to play the single player campaign. Don't do online FPS or anything for that matter. Just want a decent shooter to play after blowing my TGC rounds all to hell to quell the urge to shoot stuff.
This video sold me on it. Been following the game for a while along with Titanfall 2, which I will most likely get as well.
This game just looks spectacular.
