DoyleyJust to make sure I got this right. I won a Web.com event 3 weeks ago which placed me at the time 19th on the Web money list. I then earned my Euro card and played fairly well during the 2 events I took part in but since they are no chance of me catching up the 78th spot so late in the season I figured I'd have to fight in the Web.com Finals Tour to keep my Euro card and I'm fine with it. The thing that bugs me is I'm not on the Web.com money list anymore so if I understand correctly, if things go all wrong I could even be dropped to CC-A? In order to prevent that possibility and because I only have a few options, should I ask you guys a demotion to the Web so I can at least finish on the active list by playing the last tourneys on the Web? Cheers

Cheers If you have a Euro card, don't make the Top 78 and end up in the Web Finals, you will either finish high enough to get your Euro card back, or not and go back to Web. There is zero chance of you ending up back in CC-A

Maybe you're right but I haven't read anything like it. Hope that the case. Thanks for your input.

Yes, just like if you are a Web player in the Web finals you either get promoted or you stay where you are. Where have you read you could go down to CCA? No problem

Players that have been in the Web.com tour all season are getting credit for making there early in the season while other players were toiling in CC-E for several months.
Nothing unfair about that.
Same with the Pro tours. I'm fighting for my Euro card, while some players have had all season to get a nice head start while I toiled on CC and Web tours.
What I've realized is that, even if I don't move up the money list enough, I have a pretty good chance of re-earning my card via the Web.com finals.
And if I don't re-earn my card that way, I have a good shot at doing well on Web.com in season 3 and earning an exemption/promotion.

Silly question. Is there a way (besides counting in Excel) to know where I stand on the Race to Dubai standings? I know there's the separate money list but as far as I can tell that just backs out the inactives -- the rankings listed are still the rankings out of all Euro players, not just the actives.
I know I'll be fighting to get to the bubble spots so I'm just curious.

I just have to get Tim to update the R2D link on the money page and then that will be accurate - currently not set up for this season. Same for link on PGA's FedEx Cup page

Yes, just like if you are a Web player in the Web finals you either get promoted or you stay where you are. Where have you read you could go down to CCA? No problem Got it. Plus "Money list is reset to 0 for playoffs", so it really does not matter where you finish in the WEB after the top 10. Everyone will have the same chance.

Ok, here's a thing. I am currently 5th on the money list in cc-a. I just had a good tournament and could possibly be in with an exemption to web.com. If I do well there, I will get my web card and play there for 5 weeks. Not enough to get to top 140, however I will lose any chance of getting an automatic spot for the top 5 and will have to play in the finals and will possibly miss out. Maybe this is not the time of year to play well?

Maybe this is not the time of year to play well? If in those 5 web weeks you manage a couple of good finishes, you'll earn enough to keep your card. I moved up in April, first 2 events finish 11th & 16th and earned over 35k, which even if I hadn't earned another penny would be enough to easily make the top 140. Good luck to you
