Also, what happens to the 18 players who qualify for the Nedbank but miss out on the final event? Just an extra week off and Euro card confirmed for next season? It would be a week off, yes. Last season I made it to the third of 4 FedEx playoff events which guaranteed my card for this season. But I did not qualify for the 4th playoff event, so I had an extra week off. I would think it extremely likely the same holds true for the Euro tour as well.

Looks like Brian May will have no chance to reach 12 tourneys, Custard got his 12th with the PGA, me and Hammond need two more Euro tournaments to qualify. I'm looking at skipping the Wyndham (Shame I can't defend title) and the BMW to fulfill those two tournaments. I hope that I'll stay in the top 8 in Ryder Cup and do enough to stay in the top 6 in FedEx going into the Tour Championship. Or I can skip the Olympics and everything will be okay. I wasn't aware that you had to play 12 events to qualify. Glad you posted that. Looks like I'll have to do the same as you Tyler :-)

S2 European Tour members with wins on PGA (minor events excluded) Ian Sweeney Jules Powell daddyjules Doesn't Brian Murphy qualify for this? He has 3 PGA wins this season. He was a PGA card holder at the time of his PGA wins.

Bit silly that the reigning Fed Ex champ cant defend his title. "Rules" are ass sometimes.

Just so I'm clear, if I am in the top 100 for FedEx points I don't have to re-qualify for PGA? Is week 47 The Barclays or prior to that? You are 76th on the "current playoffs" list as it stands now, wk 42 hasn't been finalised yet, but you have (should be 30.75?) points, from a decent finish in the minor event to come. You could probably miss every cut from now ,and stay in the top 100, therefore retaining your card for next season . Edit: 78th after the two major winners are added.

Tweaked the wording to be a bit more clear - since we're taking the top XX active users - the 125th active pga user may be 150th on the FedEx Cup list - so the following was tweaked:
PGA *** all active PGA Tour members that don't make the Duetsche Bank Championship field will be entered in the Web.com Tour finals - you will be playing to keep your PGA Tour card ***
EURO *** all active European Tour members that don't make the Turkish Airlines Open field will be entered in the Web.com Tour finals - you will be playing to keep your European Tour card ***
Those are the two tournaments you need to qualify for in order to guarantee you keep your tour card.

Doyley just to clear something up for me. With the 12 events needed to be eligible for the euro tour, do those events include all but the last event in Dubai. Or do you need 12 up before the last 4 events?

Including my first (failed) exemption the Nedbank will be my 12th event! Looks like I got in just in time?

Broken down I place them like this: 3 crossovers 4 Majors 3 WGC events So the 10 events is legit? With two weeks left in the season I could cross over and win in week 44 (that is the pipe dream part of this whole thing), and then play week 45 on Euro to get to 12 events just in time for the R2D?

That is all accurate - also minor European Tour events count as an event played.

Somebody please clarify something that was told to me in another thread that I can't seem to find anywhere in the rules.
I was told that if I don't finish the season in the top 140 Web players, I go back down to CC.
Please confirm Scott.
