Some more pictures: My main assignment is talking to delegates and supporters while others are assigned to the "TV time speeches." I did get to listen to a few of them, though. Most of my time is in the hallway areas. I didn't get a picture, but I had a wonderful interview with Rep. Al Green of the Texas 9th regarding racial reconciliation and encouraging people of faith to work together on it. This is in the Associated Press's private area. They have reporters in from all over the world. Yes, all I've eaten since hitting town have been cheesesteaks. It was 97 with a heat index of 119 most of the day and then this storm hit around 6pm. It was so bad they had to close down all the tents set up for media, security and staff and rush people inside the Wells Fargo center.

Have fun man. Had a couple friends that were delegates at the RNC and they had a blast. Enjoy the yellingest city in America!

More pics. After the Republicans and Trump took to social media to say there were no American flags on stage, there are a LOT more physical flags around the arena today. (They had flag displays on digital signs like the RNC did...) If you tune in to the C-SPAN wall to wall coverage, don't miss this kid singing the Anthem. He is AWESOME. Andra Day singing "Rise Up" with a group of young drummers. Totally cool. These tents are housing ABC, the BBC, NBC and CNN staffers and providing places for standups and exclusive interviews. Saw Lester Holt hanging out. Media microwave towers: And I don't normally do photos with celebs. I couldn't resist this guy.

Strange, I never pictured Jason as having a beard.....who'd have thought? So who's the celeb in the red shirt that you're with then?

Welcome to my hometown. It has become the hipster capital of America. Get yourself a real cheesesteak, Pat's and Gino's are both fantastic.

Many of my high school and college weekends I don't remember were in this fine city. And I spent many days yelling loud profanity at the Vet. If you like Pat and Geno's...you must try Tony Luke's.

Never disappointed with any of them. I grew up in south Philly (9th and Wolf area). When I was there this past February it was the first time back in 20 years. Amazed at how much had changed and at how much was still the same. Love my hometown and proud to be from there. Good times x1,000 growing up. Block parties, stick ball, italian markets, Phillies games at Connie Mack stadium (Shibe to some) and Eagles games at Franklin (and that rat hole called the Vet lol), Sixers and Flyers games at the Spectrum, headed to the Jersey shore on weekends (Wildwood was the place to go for us) and all of the bad ass concerts at JFK.

I'll assume Bill Clinton was spending a lot of time with that Virgin delegate they were nice enough to make a sign for.
