I was playing Crawford Mines ( the last round of the qualifiers) today, when my approach shot fell short and landed in some rocks.
How hard I tried I could not free my self from these rocks, the ball would just run a few yards and run back to the rocks again.
I eventually freed myself by playing sideways.
This cost me +5 shots totalling 9 for the hole.
My point is , is this fair as it was no fault of my skills etc, is there anyway I can claim any shots back?
I would hate to miss the cut in this manner, as I am on the border line.
any suggestions please
Rob Davey

I would just like to add it was the approach to the 17th hole.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. I've been there myself.
Here's the official response taken from the Bugs/Glitches Policies thread:
Stuck in Rocks/Endless loop On PC you can hit Alt-enter twice and that will sometimes free you from the endless loop On XB1 and PS4 there is no known fix and no way to reset your golfer/round - Regretfully, in this case we have no choice but to let the scores stand and have you enter in on the Champions Tour.

Be thankful you got out. I've heard rumors there are some golfers still out there hacking away. Tin Cup has nothing on this issue. Edit: Wanted to add that I hate that for you but also thank you for alerting those of us who have yet to play to avoid getting near those rocks at 17 at all costs. Same with the fallen trees at Kodiak.

I was not only stuck one day, but I had to let my computer run all night with the ball bouncing, it freed itself eventually. Sounds like the OP was not bouncing in the rocks but was in them and stopped. To bad we can not take unplayable lies yet. Its called the rub of the green, rocks are certainly punishing, however I assume you do not golf in RL, otherwise your question would never be asked. Do you happen to know what a Scotsman calls a mulligan?..................3 off the tee.

Shot Bent, didn't know about the Alt-Enter x 2 technique to extradite one from a rocky situation. I used to always find the rocks and water, but now with my new swing (slightly drunker than my previous swing) Im hitting mostly fairways.
