TGC Apprentice: accepting applications

Welcome Ladies and Ladies, welcome to TGC Apprentice!

we are now accepting applications for an upcoming 10 week design contest series (start date tbd)

before saying how to apply, let me tell you what you are applying for.

i give all of the contestants the same land plot, and each contestant builds hole 1, they all have one week.  Once all the holes are completed, we (I) will fire one of the contestants.  And we (i) will choose the best hole and use that as the next weeks land plot for the contestants to make hole 2 on. So on and so on till week 9 when two contestants are left.  Week nine will be a bye week and the two remaining contestants will only have 2 weeks to finish the course, not just the 9th hole but the entire back 9 as well.  Winner gets a big pat on the back and the losers all get made fun of.

so how do you apply for this friendly job?  

State your name
list your best course
list your favorite course of ours (mine)
list your strengths and weaknesses in the designer
post a random photo not larger than 1000 pixels high or wide

i will be hiring 10 designers.

btw, this is PC only due to file sharing.

This sounds like a great idea. I really like the idea of collaborating on a course and this sounds like the perfect way to do it.

I imagine I'll have to miss out as I'm a week or two off of joining the PC master race, but I'd put my name down for sure if I could. Will be exciting to follow this one

It will not start until August.  I have to finish my CC contest course before investing time in this reviewing the entrants work.

so sometime between August 1st and the 15th it will begin.

but if you want in, fill out the application, each answer other than your name has value.

I would do this, but for this part. There's no way I could build a back 9 in 2 weeks.

I would be very interested in doing this as well. My only issue is time. Mid August I'll up to my waist in Summer Showdown judging, but could probably squeeze out a hole a week with few issues. I'm in the Caribbean again Spetember 9 through the 21st, so that would probably put a crimp in this. If the schedule changes at all I'd be game.
