After watching seamount4life and chatting about the PS2, I decided to bring out the old Hot Shots Golf Fore. And I still suck. After going out in -5, I came in with 46 en route to yet another failed stage trial. Anyway, I wanted to see if anybody else here used to play the old HSG4. Great nostalgia.

Haha I still play hot shots golf world invitational on ps3 all the time. My roommate gave up on tgc almost right after I got it since its "to hard" (I warned him lol) and will only play HSG. Man its still fun I'll be honest...its suppose to come to ps4 this year and I'm sure I will get it. Read a review and it sounds fun!

My favorite has got to by 4 for nostalgic reasons, but it was great to see them bring back Sakura and Northern Fox in World Invitational. Currently the only game I haven't beat of those four is the one I started with: 4. I've been stuck in one spot for the last 11 years lol

Got World Invitational for Vita a couple weeks ago since it was on sale for $3 something. Not the first one I've played but first since TGC. Needless to say the HSG course designers wouldn't be able to get a course on tour here. Can't count the number of times I've been forced layup a shot, including tee shots because there's been a tree, or house, or barn, or motel, or windmill, or 17 wind turbines directly in the shooting lane.
Don't even get me started on the almost total lack of friction or the Canadian course featuring teepees and windmills.
Still a fun, mindless game of golf though.

Still a fun, mindless game of golf though. Did you get the 3 DLC courses? Two of them are a lot more realistic because they're back from HSG 3 and 4 where most courses were realistic. My favorite courses include the Japanese course with a red flag from 3, 4, and WI, the Hawaiian course from 3 and 4, the American course from 3 and 4, and the Canadian on from WI. OOB didn't really offer many good courses IMO, but the Augusta/Chambers Bay crossover was nice.

I don't expect to be getting the DLC courses since it was just a cheap impulse buy and I'll have enough to play out of the standard courses. I think I purchased some DLC stuff for OoB and probably played it once or twice, so I doubt I'll feel any incentive to waste my money this time.
