I apologise if this has already been suggested, but is there any chance of a Ryder Cup, or an equivalent tournament, being added for those playing the Web Tour and CC Tours? The Ryder Cup is the biggest event of the year, and it seems a shame that only 24 players out of thousands can actually take part.
The match play tournament(s) would have a different name of course, but they would follow the exact same format as the Ryder Cup. There could be multiple events, one for the Web guys and one for the CC A-Z guys, or perhaps it could be split Web/CC-A and CC-B to CC-Z, with (insert name here) points being built up throughout the year, similar to what we currently have for the actual Ryder Cup.
Thoughts?

Hey, what about the PGA's and Euro's that don't qualify?? ;-) Lots of people that will want to play in an event like this. I think some "unsanctioned" end of year events will likely be held (they have in the past), but nothing official will come of this on TGCTours, I'm pretty sure.

Check the sub-forum for "Community Run Events". It has several threads already for "Ryder Cup Events" for those not being part of the actual Ryder Cup.

Yeah I know, and I take part in some of those events, but I meant an official Ryder/Walker Cup/Match Play event for the different tiers of competition on TGC Tours.
The top 24 EU/US guys on the Web/CC-A tour in terms of ranking points competing at the end of the year in a match play event.
The top 24 EU/US guys on the CC-A to CC-Z tour in terms of ranking points competing at the end of the year in a match play event.
Players will move between tours during that time, but if they start in, for example, the Web Tour and end up moving up to the PGA/Euro Tour, their points could be frozen until if and when they come back down to the tour. If they move up (or down) tours towards the end of the year and they're still in the top 12 come Match Play time then they earn the right to play in the event still.

Would completely take away from the spectacle if there were 2/3/4 Ryder Cups for the various levels.
Everyone has had the same chance to qualify. No different to the WGCs/Majors - if you want to play in them, you have to earn it

I think what is missing for the non-top 100 is some special events throughout the year. I have even recommended a few events throughout the season where all levels play in the same tournament. I get kind of bored with just tournament after tournament on the Web tour. I would prefer to mix it up a bit here and there.

Reminds me of a George Carlin bit (obviously with a Carlin bit, it is NSFW)...

Lol! I hear ya. I guess all i am really hoping for is some sort of mix up. Maybe a web versus cc-a event. It is kind of boring in the web. Especially after about mid season when even moving up still keeps you kind of out of the big events.
Yada, yada, yada. I know. This coming from someone who had all the opportunity to qualify for both opens and stunk it up.

Everyone has had the same chance to qualify. No different to the WGCs/Majors - if you want to play in them, you have to earn it I shouldn't keep calling it the Ryder Cup, I'm not saying they should have an exact replica and call it "Ryder Cup B" or something to that effect. The point I'm trying to make is there should be another match play event for those lower down the tiers to strive for. The Web/CC-A tour event could be The Walker Cup, and the CC-B to CC-Z event could be a made up name match play event. The Ryder Cup would still be the special event it is, you'd just have lesser match play events for those in lower tiers to compete in (such as in real life with The Walker Cup).
