I did do several searches on this. But I am not clear and cannot figure this out..
I am trying to set up practice tours for my upcoming CC events. I go into "create competition", Choose the course that we will be playing the upcoming week. Enter it into the event 4 times. But I cannot figure out how to choose what pins to use and alternate them and the green firmness. For instance, we are playing Sparpacci Hollow next week. I went in and added the Thirs, Fri Sat and Sun versions of the course from last year. But I know these are not the versions we will be playing this year. The ones from last year are way too easy with pin positions and greens...
Do I have to somehow go to the course designer and somehow load the existing courses and modify them somehow and save it with 4 different configurations... If so, is there a tutorial or list of steps somewhere on doing this?
Sorry for the newbie questions...but thanks for any help you can provide.

Unless your the course designer, There is no way to move pins or adjust firmness. The multi pin are really just four courses as far as game is concerned

Thanks. I am trying to decipher your answer. Are you saying that instead of using an existing course, that I need to somehow go into the course designer and "import" the existing "Scarpacci Hollow (Tour)" course and the then modify pin locations and firmness etc...? I know there are a few people in CC that do their own practice tours every week and there is something about 1A,1B,or ZA, ZB, etc.
I am just trying to find out how to go about it and/or where there might be a tutorial. We had somebody setting up practice tours (3 of them) each week for CC that a lot of folks were using. But he is now in Web so he is no longer doing it...

Unless you designed the course you want to set up your tour for you are stuck using the exsiting courses. When you make a course you set the pin and firmness. Then after its published the designers downloads it back to his system. Then they change pins and firmness or whatever else and republish under a new name usually pin two or Friday. Then they repeat for each set up
So really all you can do is use the exsiting courses for your tour.
If you search pp31 you will see he also sets up practices for each week.
Hope that helps

Thanks again for your reply. I just posted in PP31's (Jim's) latest thread about this weeks practice tour. But it sounds like a lot more work than I assumed it was. Problem is that I practice a lot, usually going through practice tours all the way about 6 times prior to a tournament. I don't want my name all over his leaderboard and my ghost to be the only one people get when they play his practice tour. I assume that is in bad form...LOL
Really appreciate the time you took to help me out...

First, you want to go to this thread: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/3899/challenge-circuit-multi-pin-schedule and copy down the names of the four courses that are being used. Be sure to copy down the names exactly as they are written. Then, you want to create a competition and add those 4 individual courses in the appropriate order. For Week 39 @ Scarpacci Hollow, you're looking for these 4 courses: Scarpacci Hollow (CC THU) Scarpacci Hollow (CC FRI) Scarpacci Hollow (CC SAT) Scarpacci Hollow (CC SUN)

Hi Patrick.
Thank you! That is what I was looking for! So that is what that "Challenge-circuit-multi-pin-schedule" thread is for. LOL.
Actually, as luck would have it, I did the steps exactly as you laid out last night. I was just guessing. But those courses have many many plays so I assume they are the same ones from a year ago. Thing I got confused about is after I set up this tour, it seemed too easy. I played PP31's practice tour and shot -35 or something like that. On the tour I set up, I only played 15 holes and quit, thinking I did something wrong, because I was -14 already.
Anyway, I will look through that thread you linked to. Maybe I pulled the wrong version of the courses by those exact names...or something.
Remember when Wags was going these practice tours. he would set up three different tours. Any idea what he was going to get three tours? They all seemed to play a little different...

Just set them up multiple times with multiple names. The game will generate different winds for each. And something I learned. Don't make them timed or it seems you can only play it once

I don't think this course has hosted any events before. I think you've set it up correctly based on what you're saying.
Perhaps that -14 through 15 holes just means you're playing well, or the wind is cooperating with the hole design for that round.
