I purely suck at this shot. Please give me some math to solve this problem. What percent of wind should I use, how do you factor how much roll you are going to get. I am using the old 75% and sailing the greens.
And please don't tell me to build a green. I tried that and have no idea how.
Thanks!

Are you not accounting for a downhill lie, perhaps? I also find that when firing in a tailwind to a fast green that I have to take off an additional 5% or so on the rollout distance. I also use the .75 calculation. I don't have any charts or anything for rollout...just go by experience.

Say had a SE Wind at 10 mph, like from 8 to 2 on a clock, how much wind would you play into a fast green. Assume the green is flat.

.75 isn't the case anymore. I almost exclusively use the full yardage off of whatever the wind is unless it's a wedge. 175 yards with 11 mph tailwind is 164.

I do the same as Tyler .... If the wind is behind you and blowing toward 11 or 1 o clock I take three yards off the wind ... Been working for me ...

More or less works out similar to my .75, but take a few more yards off of the rollout on a fast green....

Hit and pray sometimes. On firm greens I land in the fairway if the pin isn't in the back of a deep green and hope I get the right bounce and roll.

But this is what separates us peons from the top 10 that seem to know know exactly what a fairway bounce and roll will translate to on the green on the majority of the holes!

On firm and fast greens how do you find out prior to your round what the conditions are going to be? Sometimes I wait till I hit the green to find out green speed.

To find out the speed of the greens, on the first tee, change to the putter before driving that will give you the green speed before ever teeing off...

It also depends on what club you are using and how much loft your shot uses.
