Hey folks,
I've gone back and forth a lot on doing an RCR, but I've usually backed away due to the tremendous amount of work needed and the courses not providing that much of a challenge.
I recently decided to go ahead on Carnoustie though. It's arguably the toughest course in the world and should be able to hold its own even before TGCT2. This is a course that I've always loved and really think it's a tremendous track. The only problem is that the information is limited. I've got a fairly good scale-to-yardage system through a course GPS and the website provides some very good pictures, yardage, and flyovers from above. The main problem is going to be green slopes and all of the terrain of the course. I can't find much in terms of video from the '07 Open that would help with the whole course. I've found a few small videos from ground view that will help. My main worry is the slope of the greens since Strackaline hasn't even gotten out of the U.S. yet.
I'm pretty sure Carnoustie was on one of my old Tiger Woods games so I can look at that. I was hoping to find gameplay online of someone playing it. If someone has it on a game, it would be a huge help if they could play it and upload it for me to view online. My PS3 is back at my parents'.
So to review, if anyone could help with: Yardage books, green books, pin sheets, ground view pictures/videos, and an upload of a play through on Tiger Woods, it would be a massive help.
Thanks!

You probably know this already, but if not, the Senior Open is at Carnoustie on July 21 - 24 this year. Now all you need to do is watch Sky Sports' coverage from the UK . Their coverage is great, using all "singing and dancing" animations of the greens, 360 degree views, showing slopes and elevation, they even "read" putts for you, with an animated white line, and a side - on view, showing the amount of elevation change (from ball to hole in inches). It's a month away, but I hope this helps.

It looks as though the Senior Open is taking place there this year from July 21-24, might help with the limited coverage they have on TV for that?

Ah, that's right guys. For some reason I looked at LPGA British but forgot about the Seniors. I'll definitely watch that and take some notes.

I've got it for Tiger woods 06 on xbox 360,its got Carnoustie on it,but its very basic just looked at it tonight (sort of pot bunkers) i was going to attempt it ages ago its a great course, but couldnt get retaining walls right, thats what i was going to use can see some green lines on video good luck with it its a course worth designing on this game classic. Or get in touch with Strokesavers see if they send you a guide usually about a £5 www.strokesaver.co.uk/products/randa-estrokesavers
